Heh. I dropped my DS a while ago and the mic stopped working. I wasn't able to finish Phantom Hourglass without it.

I got pissed off and haven't played the thing since :P

The op doesn't mention square enix nor chrono trigger so my posts qualifies as giving suggestions for future games purchase regarding the ds which even thought involves the software side it can still help you do feel happy about the ds. On the hardware side you should also consider getting a new ds lite or wait for the dsi if you want no delay on the R and L buttons and this time try to be more careful on not dropping it.

Why should I worry about dropping my DS?  I've dropped my GBA SP several times and, like I said, it works just as well as the first day.  Also Isn't the DS the "kiddy" handheld and therefore be sturdy for abuse.

 

I don't consider the ds "kiddy".

its the complete opposite for me, my wii is full of dust, while my DS gets the most play, even more than my 360.

I've got the DS 2 weeks ago and i am extremely happy with my purchase, havent been able to play that much because of my essays but im planning to finish the Phantom Hourglass next week and then start playing FF IV. DS is my only console that i have in Uni so it definately will be used heavily this year.

My Wii stayed at home so i wont use it much until Christmas, shame but that's life.

Yeah the DSL is probably Nintendo's most fragile system ever with issues like broken touch screens,hinges, blown fuses, unreadable carts, broken buttons etc very common. The original ,imo, is actually much more sturdy. Hopefully the DSi, or the next Nintendo handheld isn't like that.

Talk to Ninty, see if they will help you out with your DS hardware issues.



Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.

Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

same, though its not because my DS is broken i just no longer have a love of ahndheld gaming. i need something steller to rbing me back. so far the only thing that has seemed interesting is infinite line

there haven't been any resent new games for thwe ds that interests me, and i at least have world of goo on the wii to get.

I don't follow your reasoning. You're saying you don't like the DS because you broke it but you do like the Wii because of software? Would you still like your Wii if you dropped the little white box and it refused to take discs?

I've had more fun with my DS than any other system this generation. Wii and PS3 are starting to catch up, but for a long time DS had the best line up. Maybe get your DS fixed and try some new titles? Both systems are great, but both could be somewhat useless if broken.
