Let me give me a short version.

DS: Why the fuck is it so fragile.

Wii: I don't care what people say, I love the games.

Mileage may vary from person to person.

My DS Lite is still ok, but maybe because we're all extra careful because it's only supported by one hand (the other hand on the stylus for most games). My rant on the DS is that when on bed, I can't play lying down or my left arm will hurt as hell. I have to sit up to play.

The Wii is one sturdy machine. It's pretty cool, too, so I don't think it'll ever overheat. We bought one of those Wii bags whenever we need to bring it over to my mom's place. I don't think it'll be breaking up anytime soon.

On the PSP, I've had some problems with the X button as it doesn't respond like before. The analog stick is somewhat screwed, too, as if it's not centered properly. Someone told me to calibrate it first before trying to replace it. It was reduced somehow, but problem still persists especially with games that have very small deadzone.

Wedge a pillow between your arms. Works wonders :B

I think your point applies to all new handhelds though. You should see how I take care of my iphone. They break so easily.

Everytime I buy a handheld, I pamper it like a baby.

I miss the Gameboy days.  It may have been a brick but it could survive a scud missile fire.  Nintendium was at a high in those times..

I must admit that I prefer playing my Wii to my DS. Although I do like Brain Training, Mario Kart, Phantom Hourglass, etc. The Wii just seems more appealing.

And when they do get hyped, fanboys decide to bring it down and label it "overhyped." There's just no satisfying gamers this generation.

Look at the bright side, you have a good reason to buy the new DSi when it launches :)

Try to get a new one from nintendo. They've been known to give new Wii's after the warranty was over. Maybe they'll do same for DS?

It's been a while since my DS has been used for more than an alarm clock...

...and then I bought Castlevania: Order of Ecclesia. I've spent all of my gaming time on this little gem, and I've had a blast with it (See Sig)...

Besides Ecclesia, I've spent most of my time on Wii, and I've got a couple of games I still need to play. Wario Land: Shake It! has yet to be beaten, and de Blob still has yet to be played...

So yeah, I'm having a great time on the Little White Box that Could. It definitely get's Smeag's Stamp of Approval.
