360/PC

And nowhere else. It's amazing it's like everyone else stopped making good games except Nintendo....
Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!
PS3 and PC are mine. Part of the reason I'm a bit against the 360 is the reason I listed my PC, lots of 360 games are on the PC as well so I don't have much of a reason to get a 360 when I can (and already planning on) upgrade my PC with that money and play many of the same games. Therefore, I can get a 360 and Wii fix by my friends that have those systems.

Nope, it's not amazing at all.
You just have to accept that some people's definitions of a great game differ to yours.

I try not to be biased. I like games, so to limit my options by shutting out a system seems silly.
My current-gen system of choice is Xbox 360. Great games with Xbox Live to top it off. Now if only their consoles would stop melting...
I like the PS3, but I think it's a little expensive, and it's currently lacking quality games.
Wii is suffering from minigame mania, but I see potential. I don't really like the idea of motion controls, but Metroid and Mario Galaxies are lookin mighty exciting. I have been a Nintendo fanboy for years, Wii + Xbox changed my mind.
I'm a retro gamer at heart, so anything 'arcade' will score extra points from me.

Mine is Wii/DS, but not Nintendo biased. Had a PS2 lat gen and no GC. Just happens to be that Nintendo is doing a hell of a lot better this gen.

Console - Wii
Handheld- DS
I guess im nintendo bias right now
though i was sony biased last generation
Switch Friend Code - 3664 - 9964 - 9777
Smash Ultimate Alias - Happy Lion
Mains: Donkey Kong, King K. Rool, Diddy Kong
I grew up playing NES and Genesis and Game Boy, a I really loved the days of the Console Wars of the 90s. I still remember how my heart skipped a beat when, after hearing Sega dropped out (god was I crushed), they announced Sonic Advance.
Anyway, anecdotes aside...
Console: Wii / PS2. The Wii has potential, in bulk. And the PS2 had a genuinely amazing assortment of games.
Handheld: DS.
Would I say I'm biased? A little, I suppose. But not beyond the bounds of reason.
PS3: 5.51m/51w, avg 108,039/w (up 239)
360: 12.93m/102w, avg 126,764/w (up 625), leads PS3 by 7.42m (up 70k), avg lead 18,725/w (up 386)
Wii: 13.52m/51w, avg 265,098/w (dn 1,102), leads PS3 by 8.01m (up 90k), avg lead 157,059/w (dn 1,341)

If PS2 sales freeze, Wii sales increases needed to pass PS2 (as of Mar07, 108.4m) by...
2008: (008w) +4373.8%, 2009: (060w) +0496.5%, 2010: (112w) +0219.6%, 2011: (165w) +0116.9%

I got stuck in the last half of the 7th (that's the last) level on extreme difficulty in Viewtiful Joe. Well at least I could beat Viewtiful Joe 2 on all difficulty settings. You guys have to practice more. These games aren't that hard, you just have to know what to do and do it precisely, most of the stuff can be done without losing energy. |
I agree with that. Most of the game is pattern based - which I think makes it a lot of fun. It does also require some solid concentration, timing and time - all of which I seem to lack these days (if I try to play the game now, I just get creamed).
I got up the boss that mirrors(?) you, and I couldn't work out the pattern/what to do. It was hard enough to make getting to the boss hard - so I gave up after a few gos. Would love to get further and keep playing (I believe I was playing it on hard).
Player VJ2 briefly - but didn't like it at all. Seemed like a cheap, quick, watered down version of the first one - without most of the cleverness/fun.
Hmmm... making me want to pull it out and try again. Maybe I should rig the GC to the TV in my bedroom (my wife would kill me... :P).
