So my point on the wii fit is your paying just under $200 for a board to stand on and do mild/light exercises. when you can just pay for a gym membership and get better exercises such as treadmills, stationary bikes, weights, etc.

 

i just had to pay metacritic a visit, what i saw made me laugh a little.

list of PS3 games over 90%

1. GTA4 - sequel

2. COD4 - sequel

3. MGS4 - sequel

4. oblivion - sequel

5. rockband - new IP

 

Well i'll admit thats true, the PS3 has a lot of sequels as well (with at least 1 new IP).

But you still can't explain why i should pay $179 for wii fit when theres at least 3 good gyms in my city? If i wanted to get in shape i'd rather go to the Athletic Club, Park Fitness, or Mcfit than buy Wii fit.

And i was honest when i said i hate it because of its success when its not as high tech a console.

Who ever said a console needs to be high tech to be a success?  In every previous generation of vidoegames, the victor console was the one that was ALWAYS less superior than that of the competitiors.  Why should it be any different now?

 

Yeah i realize that. For the PS4, it should really be a PS3 wish a fancy new look

I think it's quite obvious I talked about generalizations that accuse a quite undefined and large group of people of showing some kind of malicious behaviour/ having some kind of malicious midset, which isn't in any way related to belonging to that group.

I'm sorry but this is one of the dumbest explanations I have ever seen. Here's is why I, a hardcore gamer, hate the wii

 

  • There are no online shooters that really impress me for the system
  • The online service itself is horrid
  • It steals marketshare and therefore developer attention from the consoles and games I actually care about
  • Nintendo makes the same damn games every generation as far as first party support goes
  • I personally don't enjoy flailing around like an idiot in order to accomplish a task in a game, after all, half of what I enjoy about gaming is sitting down to relax and taking my mind off of the bullshit I go through everyday
  • It simply lacks those graphically amazing games due to the system power - and don't try to tell me that graphics don't make a game more fun and immersive

 

And look, that may have come off as harsh but I'm really not imposing my opinion on anyone. A lot of hardcore gamers would probably agree with the points I made but before this I have never, ever really said anything about the wii. Only now I decided to speak up just in case some people actually listened to the OP's argument. Anyway, most people aren't fanboys. They don't need to take their anger out on anything as Rolstoppable suggested. If you like the wii that's cool, just don't try to convince me otherwise because I have been forced to play the thing with my 7 year-old cousin and my grandma way to many times... I'm not impressed to say the least.

 But apart from your 3rd point none of those reasons you listed are reasons to hate the Wii.  They are only reasons why you would not be interested in the Wii.  The only one that could be a reason would be the Wii stealing developer attention.  But that has not been the case in anyway and as many HD fanboys have told us a million times (i'm looking at you Legend) Wii will never steal the big budget 3rd party games from PS360.  So although you have taken the time to list why you think you hate the Wii I think the explanation Rol has offered is still much more credible than those.
