Let me say this. As of now, Chrizium is right. All that is announced is that we can now download games directly to the SD card instead of having to download the the Wii then transfer. It says nothing about playing from the SD card at all. Why would they leave something so important out of their conference anyway?

Stupid thread. Unless Nintendo says implicitly that games CANNOT be played from the SD card directly, I'll take the announcement to mean that games can be saved to AND played from the SD card.

Updating the WiiShop firmware to save downloads directly to the SD card is trivial - getting games to run directly from a SD card is anything but.

You know there is a American Conference later today that will probably clarify this. Can we at least wait until then to go apeshit? Because it's still pretty early in the morning for me. =P

Sure, it's possible that we will be able to play games off of SD card, but as of now there is no confirmation of that. Let's wait until the American conference and hope for clarification on the matter.

What Iwata apparently said was that you can download to the SD card. Granted, it was translated, so as Chirzum said, let's wait for clarification.
