Based on past performace it seems like Wii Music is an instant win, but then again anything can happen. If AC sells on DS levels it will probably come out on top, Gears of war 2 will be a distant second.

well, in the OP post, he said this holiday season. He meant lifetime sales of the GAMES for this holiday season! and how much it will sell overall in "its lifetime". Not which game in your lifetime will sell the most.
AC or Wii Music, nothing else on that list will even get close imo.

just wondering, by why do people ignore the potential of lbp? it isnt likely to win, but its potential for explosive sales deserves a strong mention.

Lets be realistic here people
Animal Crossing: City Folk: 6-10 million
Fable 2: 2.5-3 million
Gears of War 2: 5-6 million
Little Big Planet: Who knows, anywhere from 1m to 5m
Resistance 2: 3-4m
Wii Music: 7-10+ million
Its easy to see that either Wii Music or AC will win, which is sad because most of the games listed will probably be better than those games.

Wii Music will not sell as well as people expect.
Wii Music will not sell more than 5 million sales ltd. 10 million+ of this game yeah right. ROFLMAO. Wii Music provides no challenge to gamers. Guitar Hero 4 and Rock Band 2 could even outsell Wii Music.

animal crossing range looks good, maybe a bit higher.
fable is good, also maybe a bit higher.
gears looks good.
lbp looks partly good. i dont think it has much of a range yet. i think 1 million is the minimum, but its really unknown how well it will do.
reisistance is good.
wii music is way high. the problem is that the fake music thing has already been done, to extremely great succes. i dont think that people will look to wii music to even try and get close to guitar hero or rock band.

Gears of War - 8 million
Animal Crossing Wii - 7 million
Resistance 2 - 4 million
