^^ Yeah, I mean Nintendo developed it in house and paid for it and saw all of the net profits from it and owned all of the IP involved in it and paid for the advertising and shipping of it and.....

Oh, wait...

Honestly, how sad has this debate gotten when in a thread about a Wii title OUTSELLING a PS3 title, there are still people yelling that the Wii cant move software...

It's of no use arguing with blind Wii haters like BMaker11 or Diomedes1976 (Who also trolls on IGN using the account Diomedes1977).

Lego Star Wars sold best on the Wii, and as it happened last time, it had a worse opening but ended up being the best selling version by miles. People said the same about GH3 and then ate crow. Wii games DO have long, long legs, it's not an excuse but an attribute Wii games have.

Look, by next week the Wii version will be over the PS3 version and before the holidays it will be over the 360 version.

I'm not a blind Wii hater. I just know that the only defense Wii owners have for "It sells software well" are also the same shovelware crap that 3rd parties toss on there. Ubisoft has done nothing, other than Red Steel, but put junk on there, but it still sells.

Let's take a rundown of the Wii's highest software sales. Now, moan all you want about me not counting typical 1st party games....but like I said before, if Mario and Zelda and Metroid, etc. were the reason the Wii is selling, then why didn't the GCN and N64 trounce the competition?

Wii Sports, Wii Play, Wii Fit, Mario and Sonic, Mario Party, GH3, Big Brain Academy, Super Paper Mario, Wario Ware, Sonic and the Secret Rings, Mario Strikers, Resident Evil: Wii, Lego Star Wars, Rayman Raving Rabbits, Game Party (seriously....wtf?), MySims, RE: UC, Red Steel, High School Musial, Smarty Pants.

Now what's the average score of those games? Like 60 something. Sure, the Wii "sells" software......that doesn't make it all "good" software. So to reiterate my argument, EVEN INCLUDING YOURS OF THE WII SELLING GAMES (which I never said didn't happened, actually), THE WII WILL WIN THIS GEN NOT BY HAVING THE BEST GAMES!

Now, back on topic.

Yes, the Wii version will outsell the PS3 version, because A. It has over double the install base and B. The allure of motion controls

Being off topic- If there were more "good" third party games on the Wii, I think they would sell Tremendously well; since crap third party games sell over what they are expected to sell on Wii, why wouldn't better Software sell on it?

Zack & Wiki and No More Heroes come to mind when you say that

Saying that only first party games sell on the Wii is one of those dead fanboy/troll arguments that they hold onto like the 360 is the RRoD machine and the PS3 is too expensive with no games.

It's best to just ignore those people that still try to push those arguments.

-edit-

And before people try to push the PS3 has no games comments in my face because I like to say the PS3 has a single exclusive game I like, there's a difference.  I recognize that the PS3 has good exclusive and multiplatform games, it just has one exclusive I like and I like the 360 multiplatforms better due to achievements usually.

Yes, I know that it is just NPD figures.  I would expect the worldwide total to look similar to the US numbers though.

To heard most people talk, you would think that Wii third party sales were lagging far behind those of the other two consoles.  This is not the case, as Wii third parties are doing just as well or better than third parties on the HD consoles.

I was of the impression that Nintendo and Sega made a deal that Mario could be in the Olympics in exchange for Sonic being in Brawl. Am I totally wrong? If not, why wouldn't it count as third party?
