I can understand why they would need to, but it means we were mislead a bit and I will not be purchasing this game.

id wish people would actually read the article because all it says is its a survey, which means, more than likely, if enough negative response about the fee then it will be scratched....use you brains people

They announced it a few months ago and it was their big E3 item, but they still haven't revealed the catch.

There's no catch, I saw 256 people or more and I thought, "damn how are they gonna pay for this, it's like an MMO" and I fully expected something along these lines. There has been no misleading no nothing. I don't think Blizzard once said, "Hey guys, this will have monthly fees!" once when they were making WoW.

They never said that, just because you assumed it doesn't make a difference. Read the comments, obviously most people are disappointed, which I think they would have gotten over by now if they knew all along.

I call that lack of foresight and not misleading on Sony's part. No one said anything about this. Like you said, just because you assumed it doesn't make a difference. You assumed that it would be free without anyone saying something. Misleading would be if they at least implied there wouldn't be any fees.

A 256 player shooter sounded impossible, it was exciting. Knowing that it's possible because you are paying big bills to make it happen destroys anything special it had going for it. And it's not like it's always 256 players, 128 vs 128 - You have small squads of like 8 and you can have any number of players in a game.

Ugh we dont know enough about MAG yet to be annoyed or not...let some proper details emerge first before predicting doom and gloom
