Bastard swords amongst cold steel, in games where it's not available I usually settle for other kinds of long swords as favourite sharp weapons.
Fallout 2's Gauss Rifle and H&K P90c amongst small arms, but there was a lot of other very nice weapons in that game, it's rarely equalled regarding weapons assortment, let alone beaten.
