I think this thread should have some great cutscenes in it. It doesnt matter if it's in game or CGI, it's all about the emotions in JRPG's whether it be saddness or fuel adrenline war. Ive downed the size of my top 3 as Youtube quality is crap the bigger they are.

This thread will contain lots of ***SPOILERS***.

Watch it from start to finish. It really shows how good the VA can be in games and also how emotional they can be when done right.

The 2nd is actually also from Lost Odyssey. It's the intro to the game and what an intro it is. Love the 300 film moments in this CGI cutscene. There is gameplay section from 3:12 - 7:00 if you want to skip that bit.

And 3rdly from Final Fantasy 7 yep you know the one. Aeris death.

Lost Odyssey certainly knew how to tug at your heart strings. Final Fantasy VII did nothing for me for the most part. I did feel bad watching Zack get gunned down while protecting Cloud's worthless hide though.

I'd kind of forgotten how impactful Lirum's death scene was. Made me a bit teary to see it again!

Here's one of my favorites from FFX. Kind of goofy, but I find it both funny and touching:

Not really a cutscene, more like an interactive scene. Anyway, probably the pinnacle of any final fantasy moment ever on a PS console. For me. It's just glorious.

hmmm wanted to post something with humour and these are the recent ones I've enjoyed lately..

Well this cut scene made me laugh but it does'nt start till around 4.30...  Its basically the scenes that lead up to dinner after the hard work of saving Leif in Infinite Undiscovery.. (which that achievement was a bytch to unlock)  there's also some pretty tense scenes in this game but I decided not to do anymore vids on IU

another scene with some humour is when the gang meet up with Michelle whos a lil' airhead and short sighted

I'll post this, it's pretty long, as it spans three videos, but it sums up why Suikoden II is the best game ever, and it's worth a look. In the middle of the quest, you can choose to abandon everybody, stop fighting and end the game there prematurely. It contains a bit of spoilers of what happened before it, but nothing about the real ending of the game

its Lunar SSSC and luna singing Winds Nocturne (this is the japanese sega saturn version on using the VCDmpeg card)

Lucia and Hiro after beating Zophar and restoring peace.. Lucia asks Hiro to take her back to the tower where they first met.. there she drops the bomb telling Hiro that shes gotta return to eartch and never see Hiro again in Lunar 2 EB (japanese version)  cut scene wont start till around 2.20 so sorry about that..

The true ending to Lunar 2 EB
