Nothing around here...I hate Illinois's high sales tax and crappy governor, I don't care about Indiana past the two northwest counties Lake and Porter, and Michigan weather sucks major balls.

I don't have any feelings for NY though either...never been to NYC, never care to. Looks like all business and no fun.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

 Midwest rules.

NYC is a dump, I hated it, London is so much better.

Why would I want to live in a city that's so cramped?

If I could move anywhere in the US, it would be to Lake Tahoe because it has everything I want (great snowboarding, great boating and great hiking). Lake Tahoe is between 2 states, California and Nevada.

California has up to a 9.3% tax rate (which is still better than my provincial tax rates) and a 7.25 to 8.75% sales tax rate(depending on the city).

Nevada has 0% state income tax for individuals and corporations. It has legal gambling (though I'm not a gambler), legal prostitution (depending on the county).

So Nevada.

Not Texas. That's for damn sure. But at least it is better than most of the states in the South.

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a salt shaker half full of cocaine, a whole galaxy of multi-colored uppers, downers, screamers, laughers…Also a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether and two dozen amyls.  The only thing that really worried me was the ether.  There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge. –Raoul Duke

It is hard to shed anything but crocodile tears over White House speechwriter Patrick Buchanan's tragic analysis of the Nixon debacle. "It's like Sisyphus," he said. "We rolled the rock all the way up the mountain...and it rolled right back down on us...."  Neither Sisyphus nor the commander of the Light Brigade nor Pat Buchanan had the time or any real inclination to question what they were doing...a martyr, to the bitter end, to a "flawed" cause and a narrow, atavistic concept of conservative politics that has done more damage to itself and the country in less than six years than its liberal enemies could have done in two or three decades. -Hunter S. Thompson

Not anything in the Southeast. That's my only opinion in this matter.

I like North Carolina best; bias since I live in it. The sales tax hovers around 6.75%, not too bad, but I just like the people and feel of things. Comfortable southern living and comfort. It's not too crowded even in the largest cities and most things are spread out.
