Two exclusives that were hyped to the max, but met with hostile reviews and poor sales.

I confess that I paid good money for Haze upon release in Japan. I'm not even going to try and defend it, but at the very least I could have spent the time playing worse. I beat the single player, then got about 3/4 through in online co-op, which was reasonably entertaining. Then I sold the game (probably about a week after buying it). Ultimately though it was pretty poor.

I can't speak for Too Human.

Anyway, the games have been compared to one another before, and it looks like for good reason too.

Haze sold about 400,000 to date.

Too Human did OK in the US during the first week, but pretty badly elsewhere.

So which one will win? In other words, which one will sell the least?

If figure Too Human might win it. Shocking sales in Japan and Others, and at least Haze being an FPS meant it had some brief legs, where Too Human is some unusual RPG/action type game.

Bit sure if either qualifies as a bomb I think they didnt live up to the hype, but they will both sell close to a half million

If TH sells 500k and even if they would make/game 50$ they would only manage to make 25 million $.... it had a 40 million budget, so yeah its a humungus bomb ;)

FAIL topic...

Too Human wasn't hyped anywhere near as much as Haze was. Haze was supposed to be a system seller (It did have massive sales considering how crap it was).

Too Human scored better in most reviews and is considered a better, although still very flawed game.

Too Human will sell less than Haze overall because of blind fanboys on the PS3 buying it (the sales so far HAVE PROVED this theory), along with the GENERAL SHORTAGE OF QUALITY TITLES ON THE PS3 AS A WHOLE

Fail Post?

Haze was a system seller?

News to me...  I'm not saying that Too Human was supposed to be one, but they're definitelly in the same vein.  But Too Human had more hype, definitely.  There had to be some sort of hype for this game as Microsoft signed up for the trilogy before the first game even came out...  Did Sony sign up with Free Radical for a Haze Trilogy?

Did Free Radical ask?  Was Haze meant to be a trilogy?  Does Sony have as much money to throw around?

Haze was hyped as a Halo Killer.  Too Human had no such paralel drawn.

Too Human was like Duke Nukem forever, people talked about it a lot because it was in development forever.

Too Human was like heavily hyped... a system or two ago.  Mostly it's just been a "Hey it's finally coming out" type of deal fo most people.

Haze was more hyped.

haze stopped getting hyped after it was delayed again

lol, now the discussion is which game really was hyped, laughable

I'd say both games were similarly hyped

@ topic)

judging by the numbers up until now Too Human should be able to sell more units, but I guess we won't ever get to know which game lost more money

I don't see any indication of a ranking system in that 1UP most wanted list, so how do you know it's on 1st place? It could be 10th place aswell.

Well, I think on sheer size of install base alone this game will break Haze's LTD sales. But just barely. On the Money side of things, this game is the best at sucking. I personally wonder how well SK will do after all this calms down. A small studio making a critical and financial bomb usually kills it.

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

This space Reserved for the Nuggets of Wisdom dropped by Bladeforce:

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

Well I wasn't sure either, but considering this article which refers to 1UPs most wanted list it's in the 1st place.

I hope you have no problems with the language :P ^^

both failed, but imo because of the genericism of haze, ie a standard shooter, it will have someone playing it till end and trying the co-op which is very good.

two human on the other hand is more complicated bomb, therefore you will soon see it stacked up on the used shelfs.

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

I bought Haze and actually spent a bunch of time playing it, mainly online.
The issues I had with the game :
- impossible to skip horrible cut scenes, making replaying single player mode an horror.
- many servers/disconnects issues online at the start.

Main reason I played it online so much is that at the time it was my only fps game on the PS3.
I wish I had bought Warhawk instead of Haze at the time....

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

@ barozi )

I had a look at the list again and saw they definately are alphabetically ordered (that's certainly not a coincidence for the PSP list is in alphabetical order aswell)- so, no, Haze wasn't 1st, but just one of the top 10.
