Depends entirely on how much Sony is willing to push the "Resistance" brand name , looking at the Halo brand the consumer didn't neccaserily want Halo but the aggresive marketing and promotion ( likely 10's to 100's of millions worth ) basicaly made Halo 3 the huge seller it is today.

If Resistance only sold becuz the ps3 had no games why is it still putting up 20k a week nearly 100 weeks since release?

I think it will continue through the PS4, and will become a very large franchise, even if it never reaches Halo status

The PS3 still doesn't have a strong library of other FPS games to play?

Motorstorm 2 will OUTSELL Resistance 2....

why?? Well because there is no high profile racing game out for PS3 this xmas.....EU-ians will gobble up MS2....with its 4 player co-op n so on

sorry for going off-topic but just wanted to say MS 1 was their Highest Selling 1st party title not RES 2....

I will take you up on that. Resistance will outsell MS2.

I know Motorstorm is their best selling 2st party titles but thatwas because of bundles and I said Resistance was bigger in EU which it is.

You're joking about the FPS thing right?

They're forcing it to become big. In fact, it's already bigger than it deserves to be, judging by the demo of the first one. I'm a little surprised at how big it's becoming.

Not to say Resistance is the only franchise being too big...

Well, Resistances developers did say the first game only utilised 10% of the PS3s capabilities so...expect the second game to be much better
