What do I hate about modern gaming? I hate tedium replacing challenge, complexity replacing depth, and domination replacing entertainment. I hate the outsourcing of mechanics to physics textbooks, art direction to photocopiers, and story to cheap Hollywood screenwriters. I hate the confusion of obsession with dedication, style with substance, new with gimmicky, old with obsolete, new with evolutionary, and old with time-tested.
There is much to hate about modern gaming. That is why I support the Wii.

Which system between the PS3 and Wii has the most games at both Metacritic and Game Rankings with games in the 7.5-10 score range? Also what game do Wii fans tend to say is the next great core game coming to the Wii? hint its initials are FF yet it's not Final Fantasy, and how highly does its previously highest rated or ranked game come in among PS2 era games?

 

In my opinion, the reason the PS3 will eventually pass the Wii by holiday 2010 is because of the amount of truely next gen games that will come to PS3 by that date versus the fact that as time goes on Wii games just won't have the same wow factor either graphically, gameplay, and / or story wise released by that date to keep up.

The Wii isn't getting Final Fantasy XIII or Versus XIII for example, both games which will sell over 10 million copies, and if it was to do get FFXIII its version would only be the third best on the market hile the PS3 version will be the best version, and in recent months the PSP has demonstrated like the PS1 and PS2 did that Sony products can sell more copies than Nintendo ones.

 

Oh yeah you forgot that Wii is not getting LBP either which would sell more then Wii Sports, and because of that and Cell PS3 will sell 0.5 billion eventually.

 

Man i cant even be serious while reading your posts. Nearly 2 years now Wii has been outselling PS3, and this wont change in 2010, 2011, 2012.

 No final fantasy has never sold that amoun, not even in the ps2, with an install base of 100+ million, and you expect that ff13 seel 10 million with a small install base?

Well the replies to my post do validate my opinions of Wii fans.



My most anticipated games:  Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort.  Cave Story Wiiware.

You DO realize that some of the people that replied to you were Sony fans too, right?

Except they're in touch with reality.

 

Let's go through all six people who've replied to you and look at their collections.

Lolcislaw has nothing but Nintendo games and PC titles. Okay, there's one for you.

Dolla Dolla has mainly Nintendo games, but also X-box titles, a variety of Sony-branded titles, some PC games, and a variety of SEGA console titles. Clearly not a Nintendo fanboy. One for us.

Hunter Alien has 100% PSP titles in his list. 100% one for us. That makes two now.

Millenium has two games. Obviously not a fair representation of his entire collection, so he's not very easily categorized. But, if he DID have to be categorized, then it'd be one for you. Two total.

Fernando, he's got mostly Nintendo stuff as well, but he also shows that he's got a PS2 and an Xbox 360 - both Nintendo's greatest rivals in their respective generations. Supporting them doesn't seem very fitting of a fanboy... That's another for us. Three now.

And there's me, because I also think you're a fool. Many of my games aren't listed - particularly PC, Atari, and PS2. However, the two largest sections in my games collection are PC games and Atari. I own a huge amount of Nintendo titles as well, but the majority of my games are non-Nintendo. Obviously not a Nintendo fanboy. One more for us - four total.

 

So, there you have it. Four to two. Result: WAY 2 JUMP 2 CONCLUSIONS LOL

 Pop Quiz: How many Final Fantasy games have sold over 10 million? Correct answer is zero. Not a one of them has ever managed it, and the series has had a general trend towards selling less with each passing generation. Of course you are just some alt account used for trolling so what does the truth matter.

poor paul warren. ill agree with you that higher amazon sales show higher PS3 demand. It might be a little more convincing if the Wii wasn't sold out though.
