Forums - Nintendo - SPOR for Wii - Flop?

From the PC Specs: "at least 1 GB additional space for creations"

Only from that I can guess that the Wii port will be dumbed down...

I just revised my expectations for the game sales down...

Shame.

or you might consider that EA will use an online server for storage for the consoles. Pretty simple task actually, as much of the data for spore is shared online via EA's network.

Spore PC requirements: http://www.spore.com/what/specs_spore
I can't play it. T-T

@ Topic: Will Wright loves the Wii so he would probably make sure that the game isn't bad. If it's like the PC/Mac version, I'll buy it.

I can run Spore!

i pray i can run spore. imy ram doesn't meet the minimum requirement, but i was able to run the creator creator demo, so i'll just have to wait about 4 more hours to see. >.

come try out the computer game i've been working on for my high school senior project, titled sling ball. http://vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=47568

brawl friendcode - 3823-8201-9151

mario kart wii friendcode - 0387-9491-4552

PM me if you add me plz.

150vg$ bet(with haggy) mk wii 2009 worldwide sales > any 360/ps3 game released in 2009.

current mk wii worldwide sales (jan 9th): 553k

I expect Wii Spore to bomb and I look forward to hearing what Will Wright has to say when it does.

Actually I was thinking about it, and the only complaints I've seen for the game in reviews is that its sections are too simplistic for the "hardcore" gamer to be satisfied by any given part. Now assuming that Wii is the sanctuary of the casual gamer, then it's conceivable that Wii Spore could sell well, with the proper marketing of course.

If you run to a local hardware store you could probably just staright up buy a stick of 512 RAM for really cheap. Or if your computer will support it get whatver adds up to 512/768 and you are set, but i suggest you follow what they are saying. I run the creator fine too but once you are in the open with everything else being calculated... things start to get dicey. When I say cheap i mean CHEAP, here's an example from newegg. The shipping fee is almost as much as the ram:

RAM nowadays is like candy. You can get a whole bag for cheap.

Wii + Spore just seems right. I'm quite certain the Wii version will be quite different from the PC one (more focus on creature interaction). I think it will sell at least a million as it will certainly be advertised a lot.

I expect no less than that kind of remark from Legen11.

How many cups of darkness have I drank over the years? Even I don't know...

SPORE is supposed to be released on all platforms. PS3/360/Wii/PS2/DS/PSP/Mobile

This may happen but Spore is said to come to DS/Moblie/PC/Wii first. The DS and PC versions are already out. According to EA, Moblie and Wii are next. I wouldn't be shocked if Spore eventually appeared on such minor platforms as PSP.

How much would be a flop? There is no way it will sell under a million LTD, not with all the hype, Wii's sales and audience.

Edit: oh, you meant quality? I don't think they can screw it up. Hm, maybe they can, Sims Online...
