Forums - Nintendo - are titles like Madworld and The Conduit going to actually sell?

I'm thinking that MadWorld will sell around No More Heroes sales.
The conduit on the other hand,I think this will pass 1 million, possibly 2 million,it just needs to get a bit of advertising, and a good publisher(hopfully Nintendo).
But both will be profitable.

thread summary
majority yes they will
sony fanboys no they wont

summary.

Atleast The Conduit and Madworld have hype to it to atleast make the sales warrant a sequel.

Anyway reminds me of Gears of War, the 360 wasnt on the map till Gears of War shown up. Will it happened to the Wii too?

end of core gaming days prediction:

E3 2006-The beginning of the end. Wii introduced

E3 2008- Armageddon. Wii motion plus introduced. Wii Music. Reggie says Animal crossing was a core game. Massive disappointment. many Wii core gamers selling their Wii.

E3 2010- Tape runs out

A lot of people seem to be down on MadWorld. But it's being published by Sega so that's like guaranteed success in Others based on Sega's past success on the Wii.

The Conduit is starting to make its rounds but I think the sales will be all about advertising so I can't make a solid prediction until the publisher is revealed. If it's someone like Sega or EA I expect it to get pushed, but if it's Ubisoft then the game is as good as dead.

Everyone with a Wii can play The Conduit, it doesn't require Motion Plus.

Wii Motion Plus is required just like an HDTV for a PS3.

Wow Rol that was a brilliant analogy. You surprised me there, I was expecting something more witty and unfitting. =P

I'll bet someone a VC game that they'll both break a million within their first full year of sales.

The bet is on! I bet Mad World won't break a million within a year. If I'm wrong you'll get a VC game of your choice and vice versa. Deal?

I dont think they will sell well at all.

The Conduit.Motion Plus requirement ,that puts aside probably 90% of the Wii users, most of wich wont even consider buying a new add on to play a game.Plus many of the potential buyers probably have a 360 or PS3 too so as good as The Conduit may look for a Wii game it looks still way worse that a mileage FPS on those consoles ...

Madworld. It will get banned in many places ,have a +18 rating ,and most of the BT-Wii Sports/Fit users wont be interested in it at all.Plus ,we dont even know if it will be any good.

Wii Motion Plus will come with Wii Sports Resort for free, basically.  Tons of people, hardcore and casual alike, will have that device, and I'm sure, in the future, Wiimotes will probably come with it standard.

The Conduit actually doesn't look "way worse" than all that many other FPS titles--clearly, E3 showed that it was mistaken for an Xbox360 game on several occasions.  Good graphics are good graphics, and good gameplay is good gameplay.  The graphics whores that overlook The Conduit just because it's "not as good as X360 or PS3" not only don't matter where sales are concerned, but are hardly worth their weight in shit anyway.  If all you care about are HD graphics, all you're doing is advertising how small your brain really is.

First ,you should take your insults back.

Second ,the Conduit is being hyped mainly because its a Wii game that dont look as a late Game Cube effort but something (slighty) more appealing visually. But ,it doesnt look half as good as the top thier 360 or PS3 FPS,much less when it comes out and the likes of Resistence 2,Call of Duty 5 and Gears of War 2 are out.WHats the point in the "look at those graphics !" arguement when "those graphics" are still way below PS3 and 360 standars? Many of the potential Wii  buyers of a FPS already have a 360 or PS3.The Conduits graphics wont amaze them at all ,and the online playing and all will be far worse that most PS360 offers. And the Motion Plus thing is true ...even if it sold like 10 million along Wii Sports resort that would still put the potential userbase at 1/3 of the current Wii userbase.

I could buy a PS3 and 360 today to play those games you mention.  But I'm not interested because after playing RE4 I never ever want to have to use a controller to aim a gun ever again.  There are loads of people who are not obsessed with HD graphics and will gladly buy a quality FPS on the Wii because the controls are a million times better than anything on PS360 and they are quite satisfied with the Wii graphics irrespective of the fact that the graphics on PS360 are much better.

I'm telling you, people: it depends entirely upon how well hyped/advertised they are.

So quality is a non issue?

Lair still sold 340,000 copies, so sometimes, yes.  Quality is a non-issue.

Poor quality will definately sell in the right circumstances.  I reckon if Lair has released with the choice of switching off motion controls and manual targeting it would have sold more like 450 to 500 K easy with the hype even allowing for poor review scores.

Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...
