Forums - Nintendo - Disaster : DOC NEW SCREENS

Still thank christ Nintendo's grown up, thats all i can say

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

finally new screens!

I'm not saying anything until I see gameplay videos and a preview.

I'm a mod, come to me if there's mod'n to do.

Chrizum is the best thing to happen to the internet, Period.

Serves me right for challenging his sales predictions!

Bet with dsisister44: Red Steel 2 will sell 1 million within it's first 365 days of sales.

This looks really poor. It looks like a low-res version of Resident Evil 4 for the PS2. Yes, most PS2 and GameCube games look better than this...

People here saying "well I still think it looks cool" would bash the game if it was coming from Capcom or Ubisoft. Yet when it's Nintendo it's acceptable.

It looks poor, there's just no denying.

Actually, it's being developed by the same people that made Xenosaga (Monolith Soft).  Nintendo is only publishing.

It looks like they just used a really bad screen capture method. Even lines that are probably crisp in the actual game look fuzzy! I'm betting whatever idiot took those screenshots did so off a composite cable, I'll bet my life on it. Because of interlacing, any screenshot taken from the composite cable will look like crap, no matter how the game actually looks. Wait for new direct screens from a better source, like IGN.

EDIT: It looks just like screenshots I used to take with my VERY OLD WinTV card (one of the originals) back in the day using a composite cable. I think they just have a terrible capture method or very low quality JPEG compression. WAIT FOR DECENT SHOTS! This is like judging art from a picture taken with a crappy cellphone.

Hmm, they're pretty okay-looking. Could be much worse.

Has higher res versions where you can see that something is clearly wrong with the screen cap method.

As for the gameplay: driving, shooting, CPR, rescuing, swimming, running and big game hunting all packed into one game. I didn't care about this game before but I'm definitely going to rent this now.

"I mean, c'mon, Viva Pinata, a game with massive marketing, didn't sell worth a damn to the "sophisticated" 360 audience, despite near-universal praise--is that a sign that 360 owners are a bunch of casual ignoramuses that can't get their heads around a 'gardening' sim? Of course not. So let's please stop trying to micro-analyze one game out of hundreds and using it as the poster child for why good, non-1st party, games can't sell on Wii. (Everyone frequenting this site knows this is nonsense, and yet some of you just can't let it go because it's the only scab you have left to pick at after all your other "Wii will phail1!!1" straw men arguments have been put to the torch.)" - exindguy on Boom Blocks

yea what the hell kber, i can find something amazing

Sure you can... I just want to know what is it. We have some blurry pics (PS2 level graphics or below) and people start to worship such crap for the look. This game doesn't look awesome. If I believe this stuff is way below Wii graphics capabilities then you should be extremely disappointed...

Wow, it looks like they captured in 320x240 then blew these up. What the crap?
