Number 8 on the Gamefaqs top 10 FAQs.  http://www.gamefaqs.com/. Overlord and The Darkness on the 360 are numbers 4 and 5.  Not a good sign.

What does that have to do with the sales of the game?

Exactly. It just means more people using FAQs have The Darkness (which is also on ps3) and Overlord than NGS right now which came out later....

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

Does anyone still think that 450,000 was sold to consumers?  It would have to sell nearly 350,000 in Europe if the American weekly numbers are accurate.

Wow Tecmo expected a lot and got nothing back. Poor Tecmo. They support the 360 and get no sales. Then try to go to PS3 and hope for more success and once again nothing.

Still waiting for diomedes to either

1. Claim that several hundred thousand copies were sold in the PAL territories

2. Argue that VGChartz has underestimated NA/Japan sales by several hundred thousand.

It's clear (as it was from the beginning) that Tecmo shipped 450,000 units, they didn't sell them through. NGS is a fantastic game, but it's got a long haul to that reach number.

Tecmo are trying to sell big on a very hardcore game so they are in a bad spot on Xbox or PS.

Although I expect this to sell like 250-300k lifetime (it's at like 130-150k now) which is great compared to the last two releases right?

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

It'd probably sell more if it weren't so difficult. That's why Metroid Prime 2 phailed in comparison to Metroid Prime 1. This game selling good on PS3 shows that it's a true hardcore gaming system.

I've seen the commercial for NGS on TV several times. Usually they don't run a TV campaign unless they expect really good sales. Considering they shipped 450,000 copies, the evidence suggests it underperformed their expectations.
