My and my bro were more interested in VS to begin with, and we still plan on buying FF13. I must admit that FF13 going multiplat did make me feel like the game won't be as good as it could have been, but I never thought it would suck because it's multiplat. I just want VS more because:

Action RPG's keep me more interested over time than traditional ones.
I like KH more than FF and a more mature KH sounds awesome
I prefer the darker art direction, FF13 seems a bit to colorfull.

Overall I want both, am just pissed that I will probably have to wait longer than originally planned to get both....

I'm not sure dude....I've been wondering the same thing lately. I'm a PS3 fan and everything, but to say that VXIII is going to be better than XIII is definitely jumping the gun. What pisses me off is that it all started with the E3 announcement. The thing that really has me interested in Versus is the fact that the team behind Kingdom Hearts will be making it. This makes me almost 100 percent certain that it will be an exceptional game...but will it be better than FFXIII? I don't think so, we'll have to wait and see. The only thing that's certain is that they will both be fun as fuck.

Pretty soon, if VXIII goes multiplat, Agito will be the only new game in the series that will be worth buying (to fan boys). Loosing FFXIII exclusivity was not as big of a deal as 360/PS3 fanboys are making it seem.

I don't think it will simply be a more mature Kingdom Hearts. I think that the battle system will have simlarities though. The game will deffinitly be Final Fantasy before its Kingdom Hearts.

ff13 will be one of the greatest titles to be released.

ff13 will sell much more on ps3, and as square have confirmed will not be dumped down because of a multiplat status.

i will also buy ff13 versus, which is built on a propriety engine that wont be used again ie. its been and confimred to be built up from scratch on ps3 hardware.

THAT game was made by a "B developer". All it was was a rehash of the engine, character models, cities, etc., with no more effort put into it. And the writer, or whoever, made a made a bad story out of it.

And it actually was a direct sequel. And it was only made (rushed) because of the extreme popularity of FFX, and no matter what the quality of it, SE knew it would sell. Fan service......

I don't think anyone here said it would be a "more mature KH". All anyone has said was that the game mechanics will probably be similar, thus making the gameplay similar.

And what sets KH apart from it's FF counterparts? The fact that it's an Action RPG (which refers to the battle system). FFvXIII is also an Action RPG made by Nomura's team, so the quality of this game has an almost 100% chance of being high.

Now, I personally have never been in the boat of "FFvXIII is better than FFXIII since it's multiplatform" or even "FFvXIII has ALWAYS been better". I've always wanted both because FFXIII is, well.......FFXIII and FFvXIII is being made by the KH team.

the FFV13 trailer looks better but that does not mean anything. Both games look amazing and I know I'm getting both no matter what.

I think Nomura/Kingdom Hearts fans will prefer Versus, while FFX fans will prefer FFXIII.

I'm in the middle. I've only played FFX, but I've heard nothing but good things about Nomura, Kingdom Hearts, and the World Ends With You. Because of that, it's pretty ven for me, so I'd go with Versus because of it's cooler artstyle.
