Go DS, the best selling software wise of nintendo behind the SNES in Japan.
WOW @ DS. Incredible...this little machine is to BIG for this world
03/10/09 HUGE day in my life:
Very impressive..
Nintendo Network ID: Cheebee 3DS Code: 2320 - 6113 - 9046

soon DS will surpass the GB to have the most million sellers in Japan, even after taking out the non-gaming softwares like "English Training for Adults", "Common Sense Training"

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo
Flaming (Calling another user (any user) a fanboy is flaming.) ~ Machina-AX
Damn impressive! with DQVI, DQIX, Chronno Trigger DS, Pokemon Platinum, KH: 358/2 days and possibly Kirby Superstar (the previous Kirby game was platinum over there) the list could grow even more, and that's just the announced stuff.
Edit: Layton 1 is almost platinum, Layton 2 should get there and Layton 3 also when its actually released. Sigma Harmonic could turn platinum too.

Bets with Conegamer:
Pandora's Tower will have an opening week of less than 37k in Japan. (Won!)
Pandora's Tower will sell less than 100k lifetime in Japan.
Stakes: 1 week of avatar control for each one.
What I find interesting is that the PS1 has more than both of them according to the data we have. Don't really know how to explain that one.

Judging from your games library you're a big Civilization fan and you also like building sims like Caesar, so the irony about your post is that the DS is the system outside PC/Mac where deep strategy games like Civ work best due to the double screen - at least in my opinion. I can't wait for CivRev DS to finally be released in September in Europe and I know I will enjoy it as much on my DS as I enjoyed wonderful DS versions of strategy and sim games which were originally on PC, such as Age of Empires: Age of Kings (great game, I'm currently playing it), Anno 1701, Theme Park and SimCity. Not to speak of Nintendo's strategy originals like Advance Wars or the upcoming Fire Emblem. Point&Click adventure is another genre that outside PC/Mac works best on DS (and to a lesser extent on Wii).
On topic: Impressive! I think the key to the phenomenal worldwide success of the DS is its incredibly wide library (with full support by both, eastern and western developers), which makes it the perfect system for (nearly) all different kinds of gamers - even for ex-PC gamers like myself.

If I´m not wrong, underdeveloped is a not develod or (and that´s the meaning I was wishing to imply) not devoloped to it´s full content. The ideas are great, ds and wii are two great ideas, the sales proved it. My problem with this consoles is:
A) they are not used(yet) at they full power, not my words, it´s nitendo´s words, I don´t remember were I read it. And that seems to be the strategy: easy and cheap games. Not my turf...
B) They were not produced to be the top of it´s league, in order to get a low price. So they are a improvement to the last generation, but quite short to the level of this generation.
The catch is that the market goes for the money, so there´s a chance that the next generation will be pretty much like wii and ds, so people that like the top machines will have to content with a thing that is not the peak of technology.
