@Jo21 - I'm glad you compared the HD consoles to the Wii. Most people only use PS3 VS Wii or 360 VS Wii. It doesn't work like that. Its like comparing chips to cookies when two types of cookies exist.

If the Wii had a similar priced competitor, I think it would have sales similar to the HD twinz.


Oh and the Wii is doing bad from the previous weeks of its sales being absolutely absurd. I've seen Wiis in almost every store I've went to recently.

since the games are similar (re5 for both, madden, last renmant,ff13, dmc4, gta4 etcetc)

i don't think so if the ps3 suddenly went down to 299$ it would be similar to what the wii is selling.

not outselling it unless a game like ff13 is released around that time.

Wii sales, compared to their normal 150k+ level, are relatively disappointing. It's sad that how 75k can seem bad now.

I didn't really think Madden would have so much of a push on hardware this year. Most of the hardcore users already have their console of choice for Madden, and for the more casual players, they're not going to cause a large upswing in hardware sales anyway.

I'm more interested in software sales though. Hopefully they'll come up tonight as well, though it's getting a bit late.

I really hope Sony counters the 199 Arcade with a Bundle with this title + PS Eye + BT.  They could price at 499 and roundup sales.

If it follows the same line as other niche games (okami comes right to mind), extreme gamers that are found in forums will buy it and word of mouth it to other extreme gamers, but the general buying public wont know it exists.
