That's code for: it's been in development for 6 months.

Edit: They don't want to announce it too early, because they don't want a bunch of other games similar (retro-ish) coming out before it.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

I'm much more interested in this than the fighting game.

I wonder just how retro this is going to be. I think that Mega Man took it a little too far by going 8 bit. I would rather it look more like a SNES game.

Commenting on things that aren't out is stupid. And MM9 is about the only such game (since games like Contra 4 didn't go back to the 8-bit look), so that comment really doesn't hold water.
