PS3 is an adult toy ;)
Seriously though, that was pretty good. I don't really care what happens in the long run though, as I can sense that I am already losing some interest in gaming, and I am still a teenager. I like childish games less, and ultraviolent and ultra sexual games disgust me, so...

Adult toy? A sex toy? WTF man?

Stop watching after he called the multimedia hubs (PS360) "toys"

I didn't know that a movie player was a "toy"
I didn't know that a storage unit for pictures and videos was a "toy"
I didn't know that a continuing thrust towards an online community was a "toy"

You can have fun, enjoy, and be entertained by things without out them being "toys"

I enjoy paintballing. Is my paintball gun a "toy"? I like building things. Are my tools "toys"? I like playing online with friends. In what aspect does that make my system a "toy".

I understood what he was trying to say, but he was being too oversimplistic by generalizing anything that is enjoyable as a "toy". But then again, I guess simplicity is what Nintendo is going after nowadays. He swears that M$ and Sony's game divisions are going to die off because they focus on HD....well guess what. IT'S BECOMING THE STANDARD!!!! Why would M$ and Sony want to effectively work BACKWARDS? Everyone is slowly but surely buying HDTV's, 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound systems, HD receivers, etc.....

It's actually SMARTER to work on COMPLIMENTING what people are already doing. It's like economics. Say peanut butter sales were starting to go up. That would consequentally make jelly sales go up too. (PB is HD, and Sony/M$ are the jelly)

The Nintendo approach to this would be that if peanut butter sales were going up, they would push something completely opposite, like I dunno....vinegar.

Sorry if that seems like a generalization or is too simplistic, but hey, that's what Nintendo is doing, right?

Edit: I don't know about anyone else, but I enjoy the fact that Sony has grown with me. I can't say M$ because they're new......but for Sony, the PS brand has grown up with me. THe started with the likes of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot when I was a kid. Getting older, they got things like DMC and the Jak series. Now this generation I'm seeing the likes of Uncharted and MGS4. He mentions "diehards", but the fact is, M$ and Sony are actually keeping their audiences, whereas Nintendo continually brings in new ones by sticking with Mario, and thus abandons the older ones because they get tired of rehashes every generation.

My two cents.....

Yes, your paintball gun is a toy.

the rest isn't though.

even if they are toys doesn't mean they have to be for children, diversity gave the ps2 it title of a legendary console with over 70% of the market share.

even if the ps2 was a toy, many games for it were mature 17+ and had great sells.

if the wii can't make a mature title to have big sales as mario, third party is happy putting it on the ps360 and there like assasin creed, gta4 have great sales.

it will never gain that market share without those titles.

Those are some wierd compliments, because 3rd party HD games aren't as good as Mario games they should stay where bad games stay on JD consoles, while great games stay on Wii and continue to sell more than HD games on any given HD platform.

Amazing atleast now it's confirmed, Mario Galaxy > HD games that sell less than it.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.

I prefer this one, btw.

Wow, that was really good too. I loved how at the end he said the supposed "hardcore" gamers who make fun of old people who play Wii Sports should shut up because those old people LIVED through Call of Duty (ie. WW II) - a game they supposedly love. Talk about a formal bitchslap lol.

Yeah, I lol'd hard at that :D

My grandpa is a WW II veteran, so it was twice as funny lol

Yes they are all toys when they are being used to play games. Does the word game upset you like the word toy does?

I bet you're one of the hardcore gamers who can't wait for LBP to come out so that you can dress up your sackboy anyway you want, just like you use to dress up your sister's Barbie dolls when no one was watching.

the man who made this video should get shot, and most of you are even more stupid for listening to him.

this geza who made the vid is acting like all the adults are going to stop playing ghame aka move on with the life whilst the children will keep playing,

what you got to remember is though that as the adults get older so do these children so its a big cycle. the children who once loved mario and fluffy pink bunnies bouncing around the screen are going to mayhem and cahos. epic games that you can sink you teeth into.

thats where sony and microsoft come in.

this vid is full of fail and the people who listen to it fail even worse

wow...you're the uber fail then, because these kids grow up..and then what?...oh wait!!!

more kids!!! lol..noob at life you are indeed...

kids are an endless fountain of money...get that? and NO he didn't say adults will stop playing..but it's a FACT that more than half of gamers today might stop gaming IF he games would stay the way they are

Nintendo is trying to fix the problem by attracting kids..as usual but also the elderly now..and after they have those they'll work on upstreaming and getting the teens their fix (3d parties are busy with that now too)

so...you're pathetic for taking everything he said OUT of context and reformatting it to your own...and then declaring it a fail

I agree though..fail is your format

you know 2 wrongs doesn't make one right,

calling him pathetic would make you a super hero or something in this forum there are better ways to disagree that doing so.

@soriku

i didn't say the aren't, anything that you buy for self pleasure of owning it or using its a toy/tool hell even my nissan almera is a toy if i think about it, just that not 100% of the game have to be targeted to the children/casuals.

its should be split even and its thanks god.
