I don’t mind them making any game they want for any platform they want. If they want to piss away a huge market, that’s also their business.

You don’t have to be an arrogant asshole about it. If you don’t support a platform you have no reason to mention it all. I notice he didn’t find it necessary to mention that they’re not making it for the DS. It would be like Nintendo making a big deal about not making a version of Mario Kart for the Xbox and PS3. It was a totally gratuitous slap at 30,000,000 people and quite unneccesary. I don’t know about the other 29,999,999 but he can kiss my ass.

Oh no I can't play those "badass" games with motion controls. Oh wait I don't care. I'm not getting gears 2 for my 360 so why would I get a similar title for my Wii? Unreal Tournament is really the only Epic made game I care about, and I would rather play the games on my PC.

He shouldn't go on the way he does (LOL). Getting angry like that I mean, heh. For someone pre-law I would've thought he would've had a better argument. Then again...the control scheme he showed was creative yet still pretty funny.

 

The fact that I'm getting ready for law school is the only reason why I notice that stuff like that and why everything I post in an argument is cited (or can be).

I play the Nintendo fan, because I own a Wii right now... but I don't really care.

 

If you look deep enough into my ppost history you'll see me on all sides of the argument. Just like a lawyer.

 

My favorite one is why the Xbox has better graphics than the Wii. It basically boiled down to this.

What the hardware is capable of is irrelevant, if very little of the content shows those capabilities.

 

Last time I checked, Lawyers take sides.....for a handsome fee...sometimes not so handsome at all. Either way I respect the fact that you are a gamer. I love the Wii, I just don't feel that shooters are it's strong point. I don't believe you've realized that yet from my posts.

(Note: I'm not a lawyer, I'm not getting paid by anyone, and I'm not in law school yet. My experience with lawyers has proven to me that the one who can see both sides, predict the opposing stategy, and prepare a counter strategy is the one who wins.)

The bolded part works for graphics. It also works for what your talking about.

 

This is what bothers me about Nintendo fanboys.

Yes the Wii is capable of better graphics.

Yes MOH:H2 and MP3 have a great FPS control scheme.

But where are the games?


Capable doesn't matter if it's not doing it. It's a like a sports car with cheap tires or a big screen 1080p TV with bunny ears and a PS3 hooked up with composite cables. It doesn't matter what the specs are if it's not being used to it's potential. Potential doesn't mean shit. (That goes for Wii and PS3 owners, they always talk about potential)

I love my Wii, but I'm not trying to pretend it has a great FPS line up. I'm saying it could, but it doesn't. I have my doubts (and hopes) about both the Conduit and COD5. I want CoD5 to be good because I like the Wii control scheme. But in the end it doesn't matter for me very much. I plan on having all three consoles again soon and I have a really great PC. For Wii-only gamers I'm sure they might care a bit more than me. (Also, I don't like too many shooters anyway)

I'm watching HD fans saying there are no games for them. Fine.

I see Nintendo fans saying, but look at all these games.

 

These threads go on for hundreds of posts. It's very amusing.

 

As far as Epic goes, they make plenty of money making HD games.

 

Astonishingly I agree with this 100% I'm hoping the Conduit does well myself. That game is getting major press. Anyway, I myself am a pretty picky guy I guess. I don't like wasting my time. I'll play my fighter games on the PS3, Shooters on the 360, Sports and racing on the 360 and Action, Adventure, RPGs, and multiplats on both. The Wii... tends to be played at my friends house when everyones there. He finds no reason to buy the HD systems and I find no reason to buy a Wii, so we switch it up at each others houses on the systems. It seems fool proof to me.

I knew this thread was going to have so many replies,yesterday when I saw that it only had one frikin reply I told to myself tommorow it will have like 5 pages and I was right like always :D.

OT:
Epic rocks but wii fanboys will say they suck just because they don't want to support the wii.Its sad because they make good games I played gow on my friend's house and thought it was awesome.Anyway I don't think the right way to reply if you are a wii fanboy would be "I don't care their games don't appeal to me."that would only made the wii seem like a casual platform so if epic's games don't appeal to wii fanboys then would do they like?

Also, like I said, I don't care for their games at all but their attitude sucks. Also, I don't even want The Conduit. I HATE shooters. HATE them. I only play RPGs/action adventures/platformers. Shooters? Never.

Yeah but the mayority of wii owners are like you if you read the whole thread you will see how most of them reply with commments like "I don't care about epic's games and I won't buy their games."

Most of the Wii fans aren't saying they suck, they're saying they don't care if they don't.

Yeah, it would be great for Wii to have an Epic game.  But are less people going to buy Wiis in the next 2-3 years?  Are less total games going to sell?  Are there still more quality games coming out than most people buy or have time to play?

I personally like Gears of War, it's one of my top 5 shooters.  But it is mostly because of the arcade style gameplay and the graphics.  I don't think Epic has what it takes to make a good Wii game.

Gears 2 is going to be one of the biggest games of the year (it will be in the top 3 games of the latter half of the year and will finish up with GTA IV, MGS 4, Fallout 3, Resistance 2 in the top five games of the year, and I predict that major sites like IGN are going to give Gears 2 at least a 0.5 (which is actually 5 points when converted to a 100 point scale. The 360 is capable of producing far better graphics than the Wii. I would say with Resistance Retribution a similar style game coming to PSP that we would be more likely to see a DS version of Gears than a Wii version at this time.



My most anticipated games:  Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort.  Cave Story Wiiware.

Because all Hardcore games target every hardcore gamer?  I don't see how if a certain number of people don't like Gears they automatically become casual. I have a 360 and still won't be getting gears 2 because I didn't like the first. Am I casual? Also how many games is epic known for? All I can count is two, Unreal  and Gears. I would prefer Unreal on my PC with mods, rather than the Wii, and I don't like gears so I don't care if they develop for the Wii or not. No matter how you put it, I'm not downplaying the situation, and REALLY don't care, and I'm sure others feel the same.
