Gears 2 is going to be one of the biggest games of the year (it will be in the top 3 games of the latter half of the year and will finish up with GTA IV, MGS 4, Fallout 3, Resistance 2 in the top five games of the year, and I predict that major sites like IGN are going to give Gears 2 at least a 0.5 (which is actually 5 points when converted to a 100 point scale. Eg. 9.5 on IGN = 95 where a 9.0 = a 90) higher review score than they give any Wii game that comes out in the latter half of 2008. I expect Gears 2 to receive a 9.5 at the very least from IGN while I don't expect any Wii game will receive higher than a 9.1 (and I'm trying to be generous).
The 360 is capable of producing far better graphics than the Wii. If making a version of the game for Wii takes away from the quality of the game as it would be on the 360, then it shouldn't be done unless Epic just wants to make a watered down version for some extra cash. I would say with Resistance Retribution a similar style game coming to PSP that we would be more likely to see a DS version of Gears than a Wii version at this time.
My most anticipated games: Whatever Hideo Kojima is going to do next, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy Versus XIII, Gran Turismo 5, Alan Wake, Wii Sports Resort. Cave Story Wiiware.
