Those screens rival Halo 3's screens easy.

How embarissing to Microsoft that Wii has games thats graphics rival that of the 360.

Of course 360 has the edge in 95% of it's games, but you gotta admit the current SSBB and MP3 screens are lookin damn fine.

Whoa there!

I think we should be careful to make a distinction here. Are you talking about art style and general appearance, or the technology? I've always figured graphics means the technology behind a game, while if it looks good you just say it looks good, or has great visuals. Is this the general perception, or just me?

Gears of War for instance has the technologically most advanced graphics out there, but it looks like shit. Cell-shaded games from last gen like Okami, Viewtiful Joe and Wind Waker all had technologically inferior graphics, but still blow my eyeballs out.

I definitely agree SSBB and MP3 look a helluva lot nicer than Blue Dragon or Halo 3, but in all fairness they would definitely look even greater with Xbox 360 hardware power. Of course HD graphics and Nintendo developers is  a winning combination we're going to have to wait for next gen to see. =P

I don't mean the graphics as in power, I mean as in it just looks better as in the art, for example I still think Twilight Princess has the best graphics out there, not horse power, just the game looks amazing.

But also a bit of both, Halo 3 to me looks like crap, if these screens from MP3 were from an unnamed 360 game people wouldn't say 'Damn that games got bad graphics for a 360 game'.

People would say: 'Damn that game looks great'.

Those screens look great well atleast fine. I think nintendo will put the bar on Wii grafix even futher with the release of Mario galaxy and SSBB. I hope all the other developers will stop making games with PS2 grafix to from now on. I´m not a grafix whore or something but most developers are just lazy with Wii grafix.

Never played a MP game not intent to do also just not my kind of game.

The Wii's strong suit is not screen shots, gameplay looks 10xs better than screenshots without exception for Wii. PS3 is one console who do screen shots well. After seeing MP3 gameplay these screen shots are really an insult. I think the screen shots looks awful for what the game can really do.

Since Multiplayer did so well for MPH on DS, I figure it do good here too. It essentially progression of branching out. MP3 doesn't need Multiplayer, but it sure as heck couldn't hurt it appeal to non-Nintendo gamers. I agree it was a mistake, but hopefully they pursue it in future sequel.

I hope it play more like FPS now too since its weakest point of appeal was being a FPA, not a FPS. Wii controls should help transition.

End of 2007 Predictions:

Wii =18m

360=14m

PS3=7m

DS=64m

PSP=30m

Maybe for you but for 95% of people it was its strongest feature and the key that enabled Prime to become the 3rd most critically acclaimed game of all time on GameRankings. It will be faster paced than the first two but make no mistake, its roots as an FPA are still very much in place.

There are also more screenshots here, along with the ones already provided.

Weakest point being FPA?  Wow, I find that the strongest point.  I was pretty sure that was what most people thought.  If your hoping for a good shooter, really, just look to another game.  Metroid Prime is really not designed that way.

The people asking why doesn't Metroid Prime 3 have online fps multiplayer, to me sounds just like someone asking "Why didn't Zelda: Twilight Princess have online fps multiplayer".  I am late to this thread, but I can't believe the thread got so far before someone finally brought up the multiplayer in Metroid Prime 2.  It was not that great.  MP is just not that type of game.  If you are looking for a good online FPS, really, look elsewhere.  It's almost like trying to find a good online racing game in Metroid Prime and then being disappointed.  It's apples and oranges.

I think maybe why it took so long for someone to mention the multiplayer on Metroid Prime 2, is because it's very forgettable.  And that isn't in anyway a bad reflection on the Metroid Prime series.  It just shows that it's not an FPS.

Screenshots look okay, but I have made up my mind about getting this game a long time ago.

Why don't you just admit it that just like everyone else if you could have the same game you like look better you would prefer it :P

Considering the price difference, no I'm fine with it JUST as is.  Draw distance isn't bad and you can't even see it in the SS's they're either closed in of the background fades off because of darknes... can't judge draw distance from any of the SS's on this post.

Why on earth would anyone want to ruin this game by making it an FPS? If you want an FPS: GO PLAY ONE. We are waiting for a FPA. An FPA isn't a game made for multi-player, and it isn't a game made to rival Halo. It is it's own unique experience, so random people who have never played Metroid, please stop talking about things you know nothing about.

I think once the nay-sayers see the game in action, at least a bunch of them will change their mind and pick up the game anyway.

Even if they buy it later like a lot do with MP1 and 2, it's going to be a great game that will stick around.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )
