Forums - Nintendo Discussion - 10 new Metroid Prime 3 Screens- Hot.

Retro doesn't know how to take screenshots hehe, this has been shown in the past.

More than likely these screens look worse then they really are, you can't really judge until you see the game in motion.

Screenshots look okay, but I have made up my mind about getting this game a long time ago.

Why don't you just admit it that just like everyone else if you could have the same game you like look better you would prefer it :P

I have no problem with admitting that. How could someone not like good graphics?

The thing is that I've played enough games with good graphics that lacked good gameplay. Graphics alone don't sell games to me.

Last generation graphics have reached the point where they can be considered good enough, the improvements in this generation are merely a bonus.

I was never worried that MP3 would have bad/mediocre graphics, the controls and gameplay are my main concern, but I have faith in Retro Studios that they get it done right.

It's easy to say that now, early in the generation when the graphical leaps are still only starting but when we are much later in this generation and when the next Zelda looks significantly better you will have forgotten that impovements were only a bonus and embrace it :)

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

How freaking sweet would metroid be in third person, Unreal Engine 3?

wow that looks great.

This game wont even have online play, what a rip.

Yeah, what a rip for a game with a highly polished first person adventure, in a universe where multiplayer would make absolutely no sense.

Still want to see this in motion. Screenshots for MP1 looked pretty crap, but the game was great in motion (and with sound/music, etc..).

Nice going Woof - try keeping your posts "on topic" ;)

(no one actually WANTS online/multiplayer for Metroid. It would have been more useful if you posted more details from the interview...).

Here is the full interview for those interested - not a lot of detail, but worth a read:

No online mode, yes. That's great news.

Don't say that. Have you no concern for his health?

Actually I have to say I'm pretty disappointed at online. I bought Strikers mostly because of it, and either: a) no regular person has bought the game yet or plays at the same time as I do, b) the match making is trully awful and/or idiots purposely create new accounts to trick it and "pwn newbs", or finally and most likely d) I suck pretty bad at it. Cause I just can't seem able to win any online matches at all, although I'm pretty much half-way through the single player mode already (championship and challenges). Another disappointment like that, and I guess I'll skip online for good unless it's to play with known friends.

Oh well... /offtopic

If they could make a good multiplayer and single player you wouldn't welcome it right?

Yeah that's why Hunters had multiplayer right?
