Forums - Microsoft - Left 4 Dead looks amazing

Just like to say I will take playing the game on my 1080p Panasonic 42" tv with Dolby Digital 6.1 surround sound system, which cosists of 2 Mission floorstanding speakers a missin centre and 2 mission rears on a seperates amp over my 19" monitor slightly better visually sit at my desk to play PC.

I couldnt give 2 craps if games look a bit better on my pc. I would rather experience a game on the 360 with a far bigger picture, way better sound and from the comfort of laying on my sofa. I only use pc for strategy games because I have to. Hopefully Halo Wars sorts that problem out.

Randomly generated levels are said to only give about 40minutes - 1hour of gameplay in story mode. However, because of this Valve also said that each playthrough will be so different from the last you can play through it an infinite amount of times.

Wait a sec.... you mean that each level is about 40min-1hr or the entire story mode lasts only 40min-1hr??

Cuz that's pretty damn short, even if each playthrough is supposedly a different experience each time.

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

He means each level.  There are four campaigns available off the bat, and each has four-five levels.  They could have made them longer, but they had to keep in mind that the game is primarily a multiplayer game, so it had to be playable in decent chunks.  This way, you can play through one level, around 45 minutes to an hour, and continue the campaign later, or play the whole campaign in 5 hours.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?

Ahh good good, thankyou sir... in that case its perfectly understandable for them to be less than an hour, plus that seems to be a hefty ammount of levels throughout the campaigns so this game looks like it's gonna have an enormous amount of replay value (prolly even more than COD4!).

I've only seen the walkthrough of one of the first levels from E3 but that was more than enough to get me excited about this game... I just wasn't sure how long the main story mode was going to be gameplay-wise.

I have to make sure the majority of my friends get this game. I guess we won't need that multiplayer patch for Dead Rising now.

Love the product, not the company. They love your money, not you.

don't you have a 360? why don't you buy it for 360 if you want to play it? Or you jsut want it to come out for ps3 so you can blog about "another exclusive lost"?
