The only visible racism I've seen in my town aside from drunk yelling matches is a substantial number of arabic restauranteurs denying entry to non-arabic customers (caucasian, native, asian, african american, east indian, etc).  The city does a good job of curtailing this by taking away their license.

There's so much inner racism going on that people aren't willing to admit to it in fear of being tainted as a hater and un-patriotic since the government wants you to believe we're accepting but there's still a big divide.

Just look at america, Michael Richards, Don Imus using the "N" word. When Jack Cafferty called the chinese people "Bunch of crooks and thieves that they always were".

Then of course people attacking Bill Clinton for being a racist when we all know he is not but he's being unfairly targetedas racist for attacking african americans just cause of what he said.

Even americans are still pondering whether they can trust their first black president.

And i hate how canadians think we're so much better because we don't discriminate but asians are the biggest ethnics in this country and many rural canadians hate asians, they just don't want to admit it.

So if you think racism is long dead in your city, or not so much, then you're being naive.
Yes it does exist and it always will to an extent. Every race has racist in them. There always going to be some kind of ism's. But racism is no where near as bad as it is being made to be.

racism exists in my area of london, i live in area were 70% is asian and the Asians hate each other like Indians, Pakistanis and Bangladeshis, i have friends from each group and they always have some bad things to say about each other.

Not in my city (town really), because there ARE no other races here (exaggeration, but still... not very diverse).

Yes big time.

There are a lot of Indian and Middle Eastern people in my town as well as Asians. Very little blacks though.

Anyways, people are usually nice about it. They act like they aren't racist when they are around those other races.

This country was built on Racism, so of course it's not going to just "go away." It's hard now, because racism nowadays is "invisible." @ TC, how can ppl think that Bill Clinton is racist? That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard of. He lived in Harlem for YEAAARS (don't know if he still does, I know he went back after his presidency), and if anybody knows anything about Harlem, if he was racist, he'd be dead right now.
