If the 360 has truly passed the 20Mil mark world wide, then why hasn't Microsoft or any other major company said anything. This makes me believe that the 360 is being overtracked on this site.

Another thing, if the NPD preview is to be correct, then that would mean that VGCHARTZ has yet again undertracked the PS3 in the USA. And lets not forget that VGC reports for the whole of NA.

but yea 360 passed 20million, i think they reported a shipment last 2 months or so where they stated that the console(360) shipped over 20 million....

MS reported 20.3M consoles sold to retailers in its last report (till june 30th)...as almost 6 weeks have passed since the 30th of june then we can assume that x360 has indeed passed the 20M-sold-to-consumer milestone.

For one that wasn't NPDs preview that was EEDARs as here is the updated article from Kotaku's homepage. They also say this is analysis of early sales. If shortage of stock occurred in the last two weeks of the month this analysis might not even take this into account.

Here's something a little different. This morning Electronic Entertainment Design and Research sent us their predictions for July sales. While the monthly data that NPD typically sends out is hard numbers, these are all predictions based on EEDAR's analysis of early sales. Those hard numbers won't be hitting till later this month.

And MS doesn't have any worldwide sales figures so they can't announce such. You didn't hear Nintendo bragging about 30 million worldwide, or Sony about 10 million worldwide. But no, just bring up the one point that fits with your fanboy views.
