The more I play FFIV, the more I realize just how much FFVII was based off this game. Especially the music. It's almost like playing a FFVII reimagining for someone who never played FFIV before. That's just my take.
As for Okami, it's a fantastic game. My one issue is the game just takes about 10 hours too long. I know that isn't a common complaint for anyone in pretty much any game, as we usually want our games to last longer, but in this case, I feel a lot of people, including myself, didn't ever finish Okami just because after a certain point, something just happens that makes us lose interest. I point to the Wii channel that clocks average okami play at 20 or so hours, as reported by Kotaku. If the game was 25 hours long, I'd say it was perfectly balanced perfection. Now, I say it's over-long perfection, with the only major flaw being pacing.
As for FFIV, as it stands now, it's passed Elite Beat Agents as my favorite DS game. That's big for me.
I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.
NO NO, NO NO NO.
