Great points, but this guy just doesnt want to admit that all these exclusives arent exclusive at all. I only bought my 360 because my friends dont have computers that can run the games that go multiplat between PC/360. If they did I would never had bought it and just played with them on the PC.

Whats the point? Everything big for the system comes out on my PC, and its typically better on it.



I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

As for LittleBigPlanet, only Sony can decide their exclusivity, they own the game...

Microsoft owns those games just like Sony owns LBP. Sony and Microsoft have the right to decide for themselves.

 

 

That's exactly my point, people is saying that they can buy a PC for playing Halo 3 and GeoW2 when Microsoft still has them as 360 exclusives, and they stay 360 exclusives until Microsoft says so... The same for LittleBigPlanet and Sony...

 

BTW, the photoshopper could do the fake a lot better, like Obliterator1700 did with the PS3 Brawl...

Yes they "kiddify" it for the ps3. It actually sold 14.6mil copies...

No! Don't even try that bull crap! If you can find ANYWHERE else, then, it's not exclusive. PC/360 games are not exclusive.

 

The idea of an "console exclusive" is laughable. The term shouldn't exist.

You can't get concrete data on PC sales since so much of it is digital, but there is certainly a lot of evidence of influence.  For example, the 360's sales in Europe are much lower than the PS3's, despite the large price difference.  One factor that may be contributing to this is that Europe is a strong PC market, and the 360 shares a lot more games with the PC than the PS3 does.

But, really, logic is the best defense of this argument.  Logically if you offer the same games on 2 different platforms, the sales of one are going to affect the other.  When a PC developer outsources a port of their games to a console, you don't call that an exclusive game, because it's not an exclusive game.  It's one of multiple platforms where people can play it.  Not only that, but Microsoft and Sony designed the PS3 and 360 to try and compete with the PC.  Heavy graphics and physics focus, large online systems, multimedia, web-browsers.  That's exactly the market they are trying to go for, and it makes PC their direct competitor.

And no, Microsoft doesn't profit off PC game sales other than their own first party stuff.

 

Note, this is not spam but I really am in agreement in everything you say. It would feel as if I'm doing a copy/paste if I was to write something myself :)

Interesting concept. You're the only one here who has a considerable argument. I commend you. This actually makes sense. I never stated that consoles and PC's were two different markets though. I stated that they were different entities, PC standing alone while consoles warred amongst themselves.
