Forums - Nintendo - should i sell my wii

I would help, but screw you. You said Brawl sucked.

Around the Network

^ Maybe to someone that doesnt like playing the same game over the course of three generations of consoles it does suck.

OT: Get rid of it if you dont like whats coming up, use the money to get a 360 or a PS3. Or keep it and get a HD system. I cant say that it has anything interesting announced for it for me, but I have both HD systems, so the fact I havnt turned on my Wii in almost 3 months doesnt bother me. :)

I own all three current consoles and a great gaming rig, now thats out of the way.

"Why post something like this when all it will get is PS3 owners blinded to reality replying? BOTH THE PS3 AND BLUE-RAY WILL NOT LAST 3 YEARS! TECHNOLOGY CHANGED TOO FAST!"

"is it Wii FIt that has sold as many as PS3's sold? Thats a LOL Look at the total sales of software is it just me that sees Nintendo titles hitting 10m+ and you say they arent making a difference? Another LOL!"

"Hell, with all the negative hype Sony spin, people just aren't interested cost is too high and to get the true HD experience (1080p, 7.1 surround) you will need a $1000+ system. THAT IS GOING TO DO IT IN A RECESSION! PS4 will not happen"

No you shouldn't there are too many great games for it.

so can anyone give me a decent reason to keep my wii

Sounds like you're asking people to jump through some hoops, to try and find reasons to convince you not to sell it.  I'm glad most people haven't bothered.  Sell it, given your original post there's no reason for you to keep it.

You played the best first party wii games and you still want to sell it? Sell it

Considering that the Wii has yet to see its first price cut due to demand, now's the best time to sell one while demand generally still outstrips supply. That's for those who care about resell value anyway.

If you've already been through the current catalog of games (and you have personally bought many of what most consider the best the Wii has to offer), and there's nothing on the horizon you feel compelled to buy, there really isn't any reason to keep it.

Not everyone feels compelled to compulsively keep playing Kart and Brawl indefinitely.

You can ALWAYS buy another one down the line when they're cheaper. Wait a couple years, and you'll probably be able to pick one up for $150 or less.

IMO, it's more trouble than it's worth to sell and buy a console more than once unless someone makes a ridiculous offer on something you weren't using anyway.

Don't be such a baby. Your a big boy now and you need to make your own decisions.

All I cna say is once ya get rid of it something is going to come out that you are going to want and you'll have to pay another $250 just to play it.

Note to people don't sell consoles or handhelds. Trade in games or whatnot but the overall investment you made into it is just way too much to just simply give up for that. Let it rot in the corner but in the long run you'll thank yourself for keeping it.

should i flog my wii, i have looked at the games coming up for the rest of the year and they are all awful not even the biggest nintendo fanboy can disagree with that, i have already bought mario kart wii, ssbb, super mario galaxy, metroid prime corruption and legend of zelda twilight princess and guess what they all sucked apart from super mario galxy and legend of zelda

so can anyone give me a decent reason to keep my wii

note i already got rid of my ds a few months ago

I disagree with it. There are at least 4 or 5 Wii games this year that have me very excited.

That said, only sell if it you can get more than you paid. Otherwise, at least wait till Xmas when you can get double what you paid. You may have bad tastes imo, but anyone should be able to see the Xmas moneymaking opportunity on Ebay.

I don't need your console war.
It feeds the rich while it buries the poor.
You're power hungry, spinnin' stories, and bein' graphics whores.
I don't need your console war.

NO NO, NO NO NO.

Yea I disagree as well.  I've bought 30 games up to this point, 5-6 of them already being for this year haha.  And I plan on getting at least 5 more by year's end while over 10 interest me haha.

Maybe it's because I"m not a picky gamer but in reality its because I try out titles.  Peopledon't give enough of the Wii games a decent chance and simply go off the reviews when I've found out a lot of the games that have gotten average reviews on Wii I felt should have gotten better.

Yes, you should sell your Wii.

Not because of its game library, not because somebody else might like it more, just because I am telling you to.
