Doesn't mean much, though.  At most they could threaten to sell the stock at really low prices, which would really hurt SE.  Of course, this would also destroy Sony's relationship with the company.

If they owned 25%+, then maybe it'd mean something.

"worldwide exclusive" implies that it will launch exclusively on the PS3 worldwide.

That implies that it will launch on at least one other system at a later date.

Did Square-Enix use this terminology, because if they did, it confirms they are at least leaving an option open to port it to 360.

"Worldwide," as we've seen with Square-Enix, is their way of verbally representing debut launches. European, Japanese, American launches. Not their way of confirming concrete exclusivity.

If Square-Enix really said, "FFV13 will be a worldwide exclusive for the PS3" then odds are they meant that it will debut on the PS3, worldwide, as a timed exclusive.

This is a fairly obvious deciphering of their corporate lingo, and I'm surprised I'm the first one who brought it up. Anyone think I'm reading too much into that?

@ zenfoldor, I think they are just saying that to convince PS3 fans that it will not go to the 360 in any region
