Edit: New information and clarity.

PS3 version - 720p - 1280/720 I think is the likely candidate.

Xbox360 version - 960p - 1280/960 - One question is a "blur filter" - whether thats a capture problem or if it exists in the full retail version as well.

Subject to change of course!

Everytime a 360 game has a higher resolution than a ps3 game do you have to post it?

why not ? u can post too .... if u have something.

Osama, I wasn't asking you

I already answered, but here it is again. "When I created this thead I thought I was going be able to say that the PS3 rendered at a higher resolution. This is not expected! My initial thoughts was that the Xbox360 version was upscaled and the PS3 version was not."

Tease.

Go checkout the thread on Beyond3D...

It looks like the capture for the 360 version wasn't done properly (crap capture card) and the image has been compressed introducing the blurring.

IF the 360 version is indeed being rendered at 1280x960 and a blur is added then that would simply cost more hardware resources and is very unlikely...unless it was an artistic choice?

Occams razor - the simplest solution is most often the correct one. So the most likely explanation is bad capture hardware. 1280/960 @30fps would require a lot of bandwidth, more than 1280/720 anyway.

Tease.

ps3 version looks better and most of all it controls better and loads better.

il be buying the ps3 rendition

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

PSN: Skeeuk - XBL: SkeeUK - PC: Skeeuk

really miss the VGCHARTZ of 2008 - 2013...

Why do people get so pissy about discussions on what resolution a game is running at?
