Forums - Sony - Killzone 2 will be shown at invite-only pre-E3 event

I have virtually no interest in this game...give me more Left 4 Dead information!

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

Why doesn't Sony just show this game to the public? Don't they want to impress everyone? Besides, they already showed us Killzone 2 footage. It looked pretty good.

Just a guess, but I'd imagine it could create a large buzz if they show a good presentation and get those 150 special guests writing very positive thing about it, thus stirring up the machine even more. My main concern is will all of Killzone's event be secret from everybody except those 150 people, or will we all get to see screenshots and videos of that showing?

Why get your positive buzz from other people's impressions?  If you have a great product, the buzz will be a lot stronger if you get to see the product first hand rather than just reading, "oh man it looks great."  It seems like all previews or first looks at a game suggest that it looks awesome or is promising.

What does Sony have to hide? Why don't they show this game to all journalists and industry insiders instead of an invite only event? It almost reeks of cherry picking ps3 cheerleaders but hopefully I'm wrong and it's an amazing game that they're just handling badly.

I don't know, hence why I said 'Just a guess'. . .

I don't know, unless they just seriously screw something up the day before E3, I doubt anyone saying anything really negative from the event. Things will more than likely be generally positive with a few random bad things. People rarely come from these things coming away with an actual bad impression but you often see bad impressions when people show things on the floor.

If they really had something to hide they would decide not to show it at all. Because I am positive the journalists will rip Sony a new one if it is bad. It's actually better to show it to people who are less critical (ie the general masses) than specifically show it to game journalists with very lofty expectations.

Thanks to Blacksaber for the sig!

==> i aggry

but, still, Sony need RIGHT NOW a lot of VERY good news
because for the moment Microsoft and Nintendo make advertissement about their games, a lot more than sony does ...
and the best way to do it, it is to show some "video" to EVERYBODY :
internet + game shop.
If it is a private event, and it will be, we will not be able to see anything ..

I'm interesting in the comment of the journalists
but I think that comments AND visual are better (illustrating gameplay and/or graphisms)

New killzone rumors... LINK

Some new info of Killzone 2 from Power Unlimited magazine.

3. Will Killzone 2 hit stores in September?

Expectations for the PlayStation 3 premier shooter are high, and Sony aims to release Killzone 2 during September. In an upcoming GamePro issue, sources close to Sony claim that development on Killzone 2 is going extremely well and the game should hit stores in September right before the holiday season. One GamePro editor wrote, that in comparison with Halo 3 and other shooters on both the 360 and PS3, Killzone 2 will blow away any console shooter to date. We will be curious to see how this develops - stay tuned.

I personally dont believe the release date since THE FREAKIN BETA HASNT EVEN BEEN RELEASED YET... NOR ANY REAL INFO ON THE GAME ITSELF..~~!!!!
