PS3 is looking a better deal as someone said up there, this year are coming great exclusives for PS3 and for Xbox you'll only have Gears 2 (wich come out on PC too later) worthing your money. Not to talk about the Wii, it's so most sucessfull of all them 3 and I can't wait for a Zelda 1:1 announcement!

Soooo, Fable 2. Left 4 Dead, Banjo Kazooie, 4 JRPGSin a Row don't worth your money! Dude, youre a Hell of a Gamer! Nice catch!

Obviously! (though left 4 dead is very likely to be a timed exclusive, and several of those jRPGs are only timed exclusives)

Well i agree with most of u guys there. I think its a combination of things.

1) PS3 looking more affordable
2) PS3 looking like better value for money (BLU Ray, Games and Motion Controls/ best of both the Wii and 360)
3) Offers more 1st party Exclusives
4) Is not made by Satan (A lot of people don't like MS for being too powerful and trying to take over everything)
5) MS is generally losing out on a hell of a lot of their businesses such as; Internet to Google and at the same time paying out shit loads to try compete and fail; losing their monopoly to Apple in terms of software and hardware and last but not least, paying out for Exclusives as a hope to keep hold of their lead on the PS3 and failing to have much of an effect.
6) the brains behind MS (Bill Gates) has left the building to do charity work. A lot of people don't see MS being the powerhouse it once used to be.
7) The console doesn't offer much apart from 3 key games; GoW, Forza and Fable. The other consoles have far more on offer. I believe I don't need to make a list as every gamer should know.

ps3 is a far better gaming deal than 360.

ps3 has far better games upcoming which will i beieleve make the consumer choose ps3 over 360

...not much time to post anymore, used to be awesome on here really good fond memories from VGchartz...

as part of a charity work I put myself on I'm doing to make up for my fanboyism during the E3 week. X_x

1. 360 should look more affordable at $300 for now.
3. Nintendo technically has more first party exclusives, though they don't talk about them often.
5. To counteract that, I know a few people that own a 360 because it is "American." Some view it as patriotic somehow.
6. Bill gates has little to nothing to do with the 360. If I recollect right, he thought Halo 3 was coming out the day that the PS3 was going to come out.
7. Fable 2, Star Ocean (now), Banjo-Kazooie, Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, Portal: Still Alive, Mass Effect, and there are a few others. The characters aren't as well known but they are still supposed to be pretty good.

its enough to say that 360 have far more exclusives & the consoles meant for playing not for watching movies.

Sales have been on par with what is typical for off season hardware movement. NPD still had them at slight growth over last year, so the 360 looks low only relative to the growth of both the PS3 and Wii.

The lack of any major broad audience off season seller past GTAIV hasn't helped 360 sales.

The last 2-3 weeks could reasonably be explained by the price drop rumors that were common knowledge prior to E3.

The temporary inventory clearing sale for 20GB SKUs should result in a fairly decent run on 360 hardware over the next 2-4 weeks as retail outlets move out whatever remaining stock is left in inventory channels.

But once the burst of 360 20GB discount sale shoppers tapers off, sales will most likely drop back to typical off season sales until the next major soft release in the Fall when sales are due to pick up in following typical consumer electronics annual sales trends.

It is definitely NOT a shortage though. The only model I potentially see moving faster than retail outlets can keep stocked are the discounted 20GB SKUs. Currently, they're still available through Amazon.

eh. I'm not saying it's got more exclusives or not. I am saying Nintendo definitely has more exclusives. Playstation has a lot of exclusives coming out. Microsoft has a lot of exclusives that are already out mixed with a few that are coming out. So as of right now, Nintendo has the most, MS has the second most, and playstation has the least amount out at the moment. Give it about a year and it should all even out.

for that we dont put Wii in the comparison lol

1) Far more timed exclusives

2) More timed exclusives that mean less to general gamers

3) Bill gates WAS MS and he was the money maker for MS. Doesn't matter what he knew about the 360 and what he didn't. The money was still coming from his success and being filtered down through the ranks.

4) Nintendo does have more Exclusives, but i was talking about the 360 and ps3. I apologise for not making it clear.

5) i didn't say MS doesn't have many Exclusives, I said the MS has less hard hitting exclusives.

6) yes the console is for playing games and not watching movies but this thread is to do with why MS is not doing so well, not about what the console can and cannot do. If you were to be honest with yourself and not defend the console so much and look into why it's not doing well, you would appreciate the points i have made rather then make irrelevant posts and replies.

7) Before you blame me for being a fanboy, I am not. If you want to, make a post about why PS3 is doing poorly and i will do the same as i did here for the 360.

Pershaps stealing Playstation's exclusives made it look like it hasn't anything to offer on its own.
XB360 is technically interesting, although unreliable, and it offers a lot to hardcore gamers, but last MS "brilliant" moves made it look like it's jumping and screaming "LOOK! I'M LIKE WII!!!" "LOOK! NOW I'M LIKE PS3!!!"

I think the real reason is more people are comfortable continuing with the Playstation brand than changing to the 360 if they aren't into the Wii's offerings.
