Forums - Nintendo - What if Nintendo published The Conduit?

I'm not sure if this question has been asked before but, it's something i really want to know. Would it be marketed better than Metroid Prime? How would Nintendo handle the online multplayer. Most of all would any of you feel differently about the game. (more positive or negative) Thoughts?

If nintendo published the conduit, you could basically guarantee close to Metroid Prime 3 sales. It would be marketed enough. I would love EA to publish it so there aren't any friend codes, but Nintendo publishing it would guarantee it to be of high quality, and wouldn't limit HVS' idea of what the game should be. I would be pretty satisfied with Nintendo publishing it.

I think that will be EA to publish this game.

yeah, it would be adverised a lot!

Nintendo doesn't need to publish it. They typically do not run with more than one IP to fill a market space. Since they already have Metroid Prime, it would be redundant to them to publish The Conduit.

I've always expected EA to step up BUT considering how hands off HVS wants the publisher to be, EA may not be a likely candidate. Look for a mid level publisher but with decent pockets that doesn't have a major IP in a similar genre. I'm thinking perhaps Namco-Bandai or even Sega.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

If Nintendo published it, that would continue the stereotype that only Nintendo games sell on the Wii.

Somehow, it makes sense for EA to publish this.

It lacks mature content in its current lineup (compared to is other games).
It is going Wii centric with its offerings.

As long as it is marketed correctly, it could take off.

I am Mario.

I like to jump around, and would lead a fairly serene and aimless existence if it weren't for my friends always getting into trouble. I love to help out, even when it puts me at risk. I seem to make friends with people who just can't stay out of trouble.

Above all it seems to lack FPS for Wii while Activision has CoD this fall and Ubisoft probably has Red Steel 2 in development.

So they seems an ideal choice. Second possibility could be western mid-publisher like THQ or japanese one like Sega or Capcom ( still ulikely to me )

I hope Nintendo doesn't publish it, because it'll be good to have another successful Wii game that doesn't have their name attached to it at all.

Could I trouble you for some maple syrup to go with the plate of roffles you just served up?
