Actually, Perfect Dark was better. And so was Half-Life 2.

You really need to take out the fanboy glasses. Final Fantasy: weebo emofest starring androgynous effeminate teenagers sporting as many belts and zippers as Nomura can draw. Metal Gear Solid: lol 40 hour cutscenes, passive entertainment, it's not playing a game but rather watching some crappy anime. Gran Turismo: real driving simulator? lol, moar liek real boating simulator, go-go boat physics and texturized photographs instead of real geometry. It's nothing but pretty menus and nicely modeled cars. Note: none of the above reflect my own opinion and I've seen all of those many times on different forums. |
right on, I'll take that with a side of fries.

I dont like it because its average and is played with a controller. I will admit the robust online community is great for it. I prefer Counter Strike.
Getting an XBOX One for me is like being in a bad relationship but staying together because we have kids. XBone we have 20000+ achievement points, 2+ years of XBL Gold and 20000+ MS points. I think its best we stay together if only for the MS points.
Nintendo Treehouse is what happens when a publisher is confident and proud of its games and doesn't need to show CGI lies for five minutes.

Wasn't COD4 released like forever after Halo? Or were yu reffering to Halo 3?

I borrowed it from my friend and i'm playing the campign mode right now and i'm loving everything about it. Which is a surprise to me since I never was impressed by halo 2 and always thought the series was over-rated.
Halo 1 was the bomb - Halo 2 was ok / I am not a fan of playing as an alien and MC - and loved Halo 3 but it was too short.
@ Brute - you don't have to defend the game. It's an awesome series - just look at how much its sold. You have folks that hated on Enzo Ferrari back in the day. Even Jesus got hated on. It happens.
Bungie will keep making Halos, MS will keep pumping them out and we'll keep buying them. It's a vicious cycle.
This series has WAY too much hype surrounding it. My god, Halo 1 was the coolest thing when it came out. My friend bought it when it came out and we had tons of fun playing through on co-op and then tons more fun in the hours upon hours of multiplayer afterwards.
After that, I started seeing the whole "Halo [series] is better than sliced bread" mentality from people and as a Half-Life/Counter-Strike/Team Fortress Classic player, the 'your game sequel will pale in comparison to Halo because it's not Halo' comments have annoyed me too much. I accept the series as a success based on what it did for the console FPS world and having a great multiplayer, but I don't have much of an interest in the series after the first one.
Something else that destroyed interest in the game was recieving the PC port of Combat Evolved as a gift. It proved to me that it doesn't really stand up to greater PC games. I don't know how the port/enhancements of Halo 2 have fared though because of the whole Vista only thing >.>
i liked Halo 2 and Halo 3. yet i never owned the consoles they're on.
But, i feel that they're too overhyped, and overrated
