Forums - Nintendo - Nintendo to sell Wii Sports Resort for $49.99?

As a standalone it shouldn't retail for more than $10 but I doubt Nintendo will sell it for that low. The Wiimotes + nunchucks are already expensive now people have to spend $20-$40 for the full Wii experience that gamers should have got initially.

So let's see. If you want the *WII* experience (you know playing with your friends and family like in those Nintendo advertisements) you would have to buy 3 wii remotes and 3 nuncucks which comes out to be $180. Now if you want the premium full *WII* experience you have to dish out an extra $20-40. So now we are looking at $240 - $300.

Oh well, according to your guys' eyes Nintendo can do no wrong. More money for them.

And no, I am not a troll, just a disgruntled gamer who has second thoughts in investing in the Wii.

the motion plus alone probably gonna cost $29.99 so pack it with wii sports resort is a good deal . Hell most of us bought wii play for the second controller .

"An arm and a leg"? I'd say that's pretty cheap, seeing as Wii Sports 1 alone in Japan cost $50. Consider that the 1:1 motion attachment would cost at least $20 alone, so you're only paying $30 (or less) for Wii Sports 2.

Also, if you're not excited at the prospect of another Wii Sports compilation, then you're probably a bitter shut-in who doesn't have any friends to play with.

Or maybe someone who prefers growing individually rather than wasting his intellect and time on throwaway entertainment?

First off, no-one in America ever has the right to bitch about the price of anything related to electronics, it makes you sound like spoiled children in the eyes of the rest of the world.

It would be wonderful if you'd elaborate on this comment...

Because we have the cheapest electronics? Other than Japan perhaps...but you can't build a cheaper PC anywhere else in the world...electronics are cheapest in the US for the most part.

LEFT4DEAD411.COM
Bet with disolitude: Left4Dead will have a higher Metacritic rating than Project Origin, 3 months after the second game's release.  (hasn't been 3 months but it looks like I won :-p )

It's not as if you'll be wasting much.

The game will sell at $50 -- because of the hardware.

The standard price for a mini-game collection is $30. Throw in the hardware for $20. Voila -- you have $50.

Using this logic, Wii Play is a bargain.

(I plan to reserve this title once the SKU is active to make sure I get my stuff. And I will order at least one extra piece of hardware).
