I just proved you wrong, but if you really want to you can ask anyone and they'll say Disney own full rights to the KH game and characters while SE only own the FF characters.

so what if they Disney had one made by another company for the cell phone? SE has no threat with a game for a Cell. The game is jointly owned meaning each can do what they please with it(as long as the other has no objections). SE could have simply not have wanted anything to do with that small spin off. The game still has no SE characters in it so SE probably had no objections. I fail to see how this means they fully own the IP.

Without SE there is nothing, you hear that, NOTHING! The game is completely developed by them. Disney can sell little spin offs all they want, that does not include the main series. What would Disney do if SE pulled out? Without SE talent the game is a FLOP. THe game is a joint custody, you need both to be complete.

I didn't know character designers/directors can own characters >_> It's not 50/50. It's 100/0 when it comes to KH characters since Disney owns them all. Like I said, Disney made a KH game without SE so there you go.

 

Please don't mention that game. It makes KH look very bad.

 Disney showed us what they could do.  It should us that they could make a game at best.

It is a JOINT VENTURE DUDE! REALLY! Why is that so hard to understand?

How can a company that does ALL THE WORK not own ANY OF IT?! SE Publishes AND develops it. The only reason Disney has ANY cut is because of the character/worlds.

Even if Disney did own the entire IP(and they Dont), that does not bode that Disney is going to magically bring the game to Wii. Disney still must cooperate with SE and their wims if the game is to ever come to fruition. Nomura is the helm of that ship and he is pushing for more PS3 love. Disney just wants the money, regardless of how they get it.

I know it's a joint venture :P That's not what we're talking about though. forever tried to say the KH characters/worlds/whatever don't belong to Disney when they do. The game is a joint venture between SE (FF) + Disney (the Disney characters + the KH characters which Disney own which makes them Disney characters).

"The copyright is for the Disney properties, not the whole game.  Wikipedia says once again for KH 1 and 2 that developed by SE, published by SE AND Disney. Joint project still. The Copyright covers all Disney owned stuff, such as worlds, characters, etc. Disney also Copyrighted Tim Burton's TNBC under there name. Square does the same thing with all their properties. SE does not have to state ownership over the game seeing as THEY MADE IT. The first game had a similar copyright set up except it included the joint venture for Tarzan with Disney."
