Will Motion Plus be marketed for core or casual gamers?

I say core.  The casual market on Wii is already driven by WiiSports/WiiFit/WiiEtc. and some third parties are really hitting big with their casual line-ups.

Motion Plus will be packaged with a game for the core.  Maybe it will be packed in with more than one (a coupon or rebate with certain games might work too).

I can't imagine Nintendo not packing it in, because non-pack-in peripherals don't sell.

I would cite regulation, but I know you will simply ignore it.

Yeah well it's certainly interesting to wonder just what game/games it will be packed in with and supported by..

Zelda Wii is an obvious one but what else? Red Steel 2? Didn't Ubisoft say that they know about the future of the Wii controls recently? Interesting...

Both!

I wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo was working on a project (like Wii Music) and were running into difficulty making the controlls feel responsive and intuitive with the current Wiimote; the benefit for casual gamers will be more intuitive games while core gamers would gain deeper controlls.

it SHOULD be bundled with WiiMusic...It will sell as good as any game in the Wii/Fit/Sports/Play brand...

1   2   3  not only you and me.

Livin' in sin is the new thing.

I think it will be bundled with Wii Music.

But but but then Wii Music won't be a Game just like Wii Play isn't

/sarcasm

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

And shepherds we shall be,

For Thee, my Lord, for Thee. Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command. So we shall flow a river forth to Thee And teeming with souls shall it ever be. In Nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritūs Sancti. -----The Boondock Saints

probly with wii music as stated above, but id prefer to see it with a core game, as starting it off by bundling it with a very casual game wont do wonders for its "street core?" cred

I see that as more of a core accessory, I dont think casuals have a need for it.

Why would Nintendo change it's strategy over an extention to something already there?

It's going to be marketed towards everyone, upstreaming is also down streaming, that's what makes disruption amazing.

However that is a strait lie heh, no they are gunning for everyone alright... everyone that is a core Nintendo owner. In otherwords those who already own the Wii will want this after they(Nintendo) are done with marketing it, in the same way that everyone who owns a Wii intends to get the Balance Board, some are waiting for more support for the tool.

But then again, they did say that they would be aiming for the 'core user' this E3, people misunderstood that as hardcore - but Iwata is always talking about a shooter, and so is Shigeru the only person(s) against the idea was the board. My guess is a Nintendo over the shoulder shooter will be placed to support it, and Punch out, EA will jump all over this by the way and the balance board.

EA may be the only company succesfully playing catch up with Nintendo, once they catch up they may drop the HD Twins all together.

****** Woops massive Edit needed, I mean core game owners not just Nintendo - this is the second set of up streaming which I mentioned above however I just got confused with another response and neglected that key notation.

This is what is going to make people who intended on getting a PS3 or Xbox360 and who already own them to go. "Ugh... I want that." Direct competition seems to begin this E3. Massive growth and then destruction of the competition.

I'm Unamerica and you can too.
