Forums - Nintendo - 1:1 wiimote addon -FROM NINTENDO- coming e3 preview

Everyone here winging about the amount of peripherals needs to wake up to themselves. Stop the crap, if you don't want it don't buy it. Personally I think that if it works as good as they say and its used in the next Zelda Im buying it no matter the cost and Nintendo knows this.

As for all the M$ fans useing this lame excuse to bash nothing they know about, they should really give up, because thats just being hipocritical.

Man, what is this crap...just make freaking M rated games for grownups Nintendo. You already have motion controls...you don't need to make them motion-ier.

I'm so gonna sell my Wii after E3 if nintendo is doing more peripherals...
  1. What does this do with having M rated games?
  2. Nintendo isn't the only one that makes games for the console.

I don't want to trash this as I am going to wait for nintendo to comment about it first...but you don't think enough is enough with peripherlas?

So, you hate peripherals?  I'll remember that in an hour when MS has announced their own Wiimote copy.

Well if that happens, atleast microsoft has enough software for the 360 to back up making 1 new peripheral. Nintendo games and new peripherals seem to be 1:1 these days.

You don't think the Wii has a good software library?  I respect that people have their own opinions on what games they do and do not like but you should also realize what is a good game and what isn't even if you don't like the game.

Nintendo has a great game library for most demographics. However they have completely forgotten the mature gamer... and thats fine, they don't need my money. But I don't have to be smiles about everything they do as well...

@ItsaMii

Money is not an issue for me. Time is a major issue... I dont mind paying 10X more for something that I will enjoy 2X more.

And what do you call games for the mature gamer?  Only ones with blood in them?  Having blood in a game doesn't make it good or mature, there are plenty of games like Zack and Wiki for example that are for mature audiences but most people would never know that because they don't have that M rating so it must be bad.

Come on man, give me more credit than that. Blood doesn't matter... But it has to deal with mature themes. No more heroes is a mature game on the wii. Like Bioshock is a perfect example of a mature game...

So let me guess, the first time you got a RROD you threw your old 360 away and bought a new one.

Anyways what is the point you are trying to make: Nintendo doesn`t support Mature games (which they never did) or Nintendo releases too many acessories? Those that don`t know you could mistake your fair intentions with failed stealth trolling attempts.

Will, if it is bundled with Punch-Out that means you won't have the precision with the nunchucks since it won't have the "motion plus".

Nintendo probably sued Nyko because they were planning to release a wireless nunchuk and conjunction to this.
and that cap-looking thing is probably an option to a wired nunchuk.

and to satisfy the hardcore gamers...
Maybe Nintendo is planning to release an actual rated 'M' game themselves................................................

i just hope it is bundled w/ a game...

i'm thinkin' way too faaaast
plus i cn't log on too long.. sux to bee at work rite now..

i don't even knoe any more

Haven't had RROD yet. But my Wii gives me "disk can not be read" bubble every once in a while when I insert a new disk...

You got my point wrong as well... Nintendo needs more games (not just mature...games in general) to make their console better not new peripherals every 3 months.  But im sure this will sell gazillions like Wii fit did and nitnendo won't have to bother securing you guys games like Resident Evil 5.

ugh?

No this would actually do something else, probably the body location effect that motus was talking about.

I still don't understand this ultra-sonic tech and how it can be used in such a way.

Either way it's 1:1 now so that's one less thing for hardcore to whine about, the next thing is hard drive space. That will more than likely be at E3 or near after.

@Shameless

Actually this is a preempt on Motus and/or Microsoft - Motus... I wouldn't be surprised if that company wasn’t made to co-opt both Sony and Microsoft without any collateral damage.. The excuse would have later been, "The PS3 can't handle the new upgrade to the controller." and the new Motus controller would spawn only on the 360. The entire effort would be Microsoft. This comes from the obvious; Motus releases this controller that “does things the Wiimote cannot.” Yet despite this they made no effort to put the controller on the Wii.

This attachment was just Nintendo playing Microsoft’s game, an accessory that does nothing to change the way a game is enjoyed but how it’s played. The philosophy is still the same, and I’m guessing Nintendo just put this together about 3 months ago but had it ready for development since the Wii’s launch. Supplemental warfare only stunts one of their growths and that’s Microsoft, Nintendo still has a few other facets, which garners to their high sales rate.

While Microsoft is attacking Nintendo’s interface Nintendo is inviting Microsoft’s install base – now come E3 will be the software aimed at the ‘core’ Reggie was talking about and in the same fashion they pushed Wiifit with the new audience they will push that with the core audience.

Meme’s like – “True” and “Really” and so on will be used in against the guys who made them conjunctions – irony. Just the other day I was talking to a coworker about the transition from casual and kiddy to core.

The Hunt Begins 4/20/2010 =D

And Nintendo shoots a beautifully aimed cannonball right over MS port bow. Fantastic!! Love the corporate politics at play.

I can only assume Nintendo will have games to show case this new 1:1 control on display tomorrow. I'm hoping for Red Steel 2 and Clone Wars (and/or Force Unleashed) and perhaps another 'Wii' or Mario game.

Wow... NO ONE saw this coming. It's amazing Nintendo kepts this totally under wraps. Makes you wonder what else they have coming. Can't wait for E3!!!

enough already nintendo. you don't need a new peripheral every 6 months.

edit: I really wonder what people's reactions would have been if sony or microsoft announced something like this.

I'm just curious what you think a mature game is.  Is No More Heroes mature because of the theme or the huge amounts of blood?  The basic themes of Bioshock are right versus wrong and choices and I'm sure there are kiddy games that go along that same exact theme.  Are those then mature?

If you do base mature games based on _just_ the amount of blood then yes, the Wii doesn't have a lot but if you base them on things like blood, themes, problem solving, and so on there are a good number.

Just because a game doesn't have that shiny M rating doesn't mean it's a game that mature people can enjoy, it just means it appeals to a wider audience.

-edit-

And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to critisize you or your opinion, I'm just saying the idea give me more mature games because there aren't any is silly because:

  1. A game isn't good because it's mature
  2. There are plenty of "mature" games
  3. Just the idea seems silly to me anyways.  Why enjoy a game only because it's mature?
