Forums - Nintendo Discussion - The Official Nintendo E3 thread

Last year Nintendo gave us WiiFit but forgot a bit about the hardcore player. What will it be this year: Amazing or a disapointment?

This thread is to bundle all information we have about Nintendo at E3. Hopefully we can avoid 50 different threads and have the main discussions in here.

E3 2007 (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_E3#Nintendo_2 )

Nintendo announced and demoed three new peripherals: Wii Balance Board, Wii Zapper and Wii Wheel. Wii Balance Board will come packaged with Wii Fit and involves families coming to exercise together. The Wii Wheel will be packaged with the newly announced Mario Kart Wii. The Wii Zapper will come packaged with its own software at a low cost. Nintendo dated Super Smash Bros. Brawl for December 3, 2007, (though later in October 2007, the launch was delayed until February 10, 2008 and delayed again to March 9, 2008) and Super Mario Galaxy for November 12, 2007. Metroid Prime 3 demoed in near-complete form. De Blob demoed. Soulcalibur Legends trailer shown. Nitrobike unveiled. Contra 4 demoed. Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 was also announced, including 32 multi player online.

Nintendo should have a huge E3 since they have been able to keep their top gun a secret.

My biggest hope is a a new wide screen DS.

lol, you're right. But it WAS the main thing of the show. Actually it was THE announcement of last year's e3.
But I'll update the first post with last year's announcements.

I want something brand spanking new that we have not heard of. We heard of a lot of great games coming out, but E3 is all about announcing new stuff and maybe confirming some thing. If they do not come out with some new game that know one heard about, then it will be a bust at least to me!

You gonna make a video in your car again?  I'm so excited.

Look like someone just mad a funny

I'm very curious to see what Nintendo does this year. Last year was all about bringing in the mass market and getting them into games. So this year do they:

Introduce more 'non'-games? (Wii Music?)
Introduce more 'bridge'-games? (Mario Golf?)
Focus on more core games? (Animal Crossing?)

Or a combination of each.

At least we can expect to see more Wario Land Shake and Captain Rainbow... whee...

A new Pikmin is guaranteed and I fully expect there to be a new Zelda revealed. Add Wii Yoga, Wii Music, Animal Crossing and Wario Land Shake and that'll be most of Nintendo's big announcements for the Wii at E3.
