Great game. I had the same feeling that you had when I went back and played MegaMan 2 in college after not having played in since I was 7 or 8, and it was no where near as difficult (though still quite challenging at parts) as I remember.

However, I do have to say I think modern video games are spoiling the youth of America at least with their difficulty, or lack there of. I doubt there are very many 7-12 year olds today who could even make it through QuickMan's level, let alone beat him...

TimeStopper...

But seriously, Mega Man 2 is hard.

I agree that modern games are much easier than the NES ones. Some games overdo it though. Ghouls n'Ghosts, Battletoads for example.

Mega Man 2 was the only one I finished. But then, I've only really played about 6 Mega Man games... I also have to agree, though. Modern games are super easy at times. The only time they're difficult is when they're just blatantly unfair. After all, how many modern games come with one-hit kills? The only one that springs to mind is the old-school throwback Contra 4. Which, by the way, rules.

^ In the original Resident Evil and REmake you could be dead after 2 hits. It's one of the very few "recent" titles with oldschool hardcore difficulty.

Yep, 5th dungeon was in the lost hills, you have to go up 4 times to get to it. :)

Now, I am about halfway through the 9th dungeon. Damn those blue Darknuts!!!

Just before I turned off my Wii last night I went ahead and looked up a map of all hidden items, just the main map, not any dungeons, and I found all but one hidden spot. Granted that hidden spot has 100 rupees, but, oh well. I don't need them know anyways. I already have 16 bombs (fully upgraded already, I think) and 255 rupees right now. Basically nothing left to buy but more red potion.

I will finish it tonight, definitely. I only need to find the silver arrow and the red ring. Both of which I am certain are in the 9th dungeon. I also still need the map for the 9th dungeon, I have the compass.

Once I finish this, I will put aside Zelda and beat Donkey Kong Country for the first time ever. I never played it on the SNES.

So far for my VC collection I have recently beat SMB, Kid Icarus, and Zelda. Wow, I've been lazy. 7 more games to go. Then time to buy more VC.

The hardest part had to be fighting the Darknuts. Unpredictable movement and good defense make them the hardest enemies in the game.

Not really, fighting the Darknuts in Zelda II was hard, especially the blue ones.

Zelda II also sucked.

OK! All done!
I was able to get all items and visited all screens.

Next is Donkey Kong Country.

Yah I rmemeber my friend having a NES first, and Zelda. We watched him play for hours, all of us mesmerized. Of course, we were in 4th grade at the time, so it was easy for us to get distracted. Of course, that Christmas, I asked for a NES =)

Being 12 years old usually impairs your ability at being good.

Except for me. I am just awesome.
