How much do you think Final Fantasy XIII will sell in its first week worldwide. I say about 2.5 million copies.

sorry guys i made an error. I should of put this forum under sales dicussion.

I think we need to know alot more about the game before we can take a guess at this. Not just how the game plays and looks, but also the hype that will come with the game, the ad campaign that will be used , and other things around the game that will affect sales. In essence, I think it's far too early to tell.

6 mln -7mln
2 mln-japan
1.5mln-others
2.5-3.5mln-U.S
It depends on its release date, and what competition is out at the time of release.

Edit: What torrilian said. I expect the game to get good advertisement though, and it seems to already be hyped alot. The major factor against the sales though is the  Userbase.

6.5 million worldwide.

3.5 million America
1.5 million Europe
1.5 million Japan

First week around 3 million.

Japan does need a significant rise in userbase though.

Oh ok, that is a little harder. We don't even know when it will be released. Sorry just not enough information.

You do realize there aren't even 2.5 million PS3's at the moment, right?
Of course they will keep being sold, but at the current rate it will take 50 weeks to sell another million and that's at the still elevated post MGS4 level.
