My brother has a gamecube and a wii. He went from being a diehard Nintendo fan last gen to a dissilusioned fan this gen. I doubt he'll buy Nintendo's next console as the wii dissapointed him so much.

I didnt own a console the entire last gen and before that all I had were nintendo consoles. I grew up with Nintendo Im a fanboy main reason.

Why is your brother "dissillusioned"?? I was never a "die hard" nintendo fan and couldn't possibly understand why a die hard fan could change.

nope. i wanted a Wii really bad when I first heard about it but now I wish I had just skipped it and gotten a graphics card.

My reason for not liking wii has nothing to do with graphics. Heck, GC wasn't known for its graphcis (that was Xbox's job).

but more for the fact that I find Nintendo foresaken hardcore fans and blindly chasing after casual market. Motion control doesn't work as well as they are advertised (why am I still seeing TV ads of people jumping from the couch playing Wii?) , and more hardcore games i actually liked using GC control for a better control.

With crappy 3rd party pouring on. Games look less and less attractive for that console.

I am also a owner of DS, and I am also quite turned off with garbages on the shelf I see at stores. Now I just play 1% of all games on DS, and ignoring the rest.

I have a N64 and a ton of games for it but I enjoyed PC gaming much more so I've basically been a PC gamer for the last few generations.  The Wii got me back into console gaming.  ^_^

Hehe. My thoughts exactly, even though I've never liked a nintendo system. I find most wii games just stupid or annoying. Motion controls are not what the ads promised. Because of those ads, my mother decided to give me a wii for my birthday. I think hype is the main reason that wii sells.

Crappy third parties? Well, actually they are not that much crappier than nintendo-games. Nintendo owns mario, that is the seller on wii. After mario games, what good sellers comes from nintendo? Wii sports, wii play, wii fit, big brain academy, wario ware and so on. Crappy minigames. That is what 3rd parties make on wii, since it sells. :)

I get the same feeling everytime I check those game stores.
