only for powerups after you get upgrades for 100% the game but its a great game get it.

The back tracking in MP3 feels less than that in MP1 and MP2. That said, there is still some there. Either way, get the game. It is made of awesome and so is Samus.

Everyone complains about backtracking for energy cells. If you explored the rooms properly earlier in the game, you would have most of the energy cells when the game asks you to get them, so minimal backtracking :) That so many people complain about it just shows they didn't pay enough attention to the game environment, and exploring properly is what Metroid is all about.
