Wow, it has so long since the last comparison of unreleased games that we don't know much about~ Finally I used a bunch of sarcasm!!!

Anyway, how do you expect to count online sales of LBP? Or there won`t be online version?

Games like LO, NG2, TH hardly will reach one mln. this year, while LBP definitely will. Banjo has a little chances for that.
Kameo or Viva Pinata + Brand, but on different user base = poor sales.

2009.04.30 - PS3 will OUTSELL x360 atleast by the middle of 2010. Japan+Europe > NA.


Gran Turismo 3 - 1,06 mln. in 3 weeks with around 4 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Gran Turismo 4 - 1,16 mln. with 18 mln. PS2 on the launch.

Final Fantasy X - around 2 mln. with 5 mln. PS2 on the launch.
Final Fantasy X-2 - 2.4 mln. with 12 mln. PS2 on the launch.

 

1.8 mln. PS3 today(2008.01.17) in Japan. Now(2009.04.30) 3.16 mln. PS3 were sold in Japan.
PS3 will reach 4 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 25k.

PS3 may reach 5 mln. in Japan by the end of 2009 with average weekly sales 50k.
PS2 2001 vs PS3 2008 sales numbers =) + New games released in Japan by 2009 that passed 100k so far

I only recalled my brother-in-law's dad showing off PD0 when he got his 360 at launch.

Edit: Well, the ps3 also had CoD3 at launch.

Heh, yeah the reviewers were too kind to that game in my opinion but that was to be expected as part 1 kicked ass...there were bound to be fanboys amongst reviewers. Quake 4, Kameo and even ridge racer 6 were all better launch games than Perfect Dark Zero in my opinion.

Maybe this sequel fanboyism had something to do with the high sales...i think so. But COD2 sold even more so...

Two completely unrelated games. I would hope for Sony's sake that LBP sales better since it is one of the most hyped games they have and Banjo is a tertitiary game.
