Yes I believe NPD is closer to reality. But I also believe the possibility exists they are shorting the 360.

Nice troll response though, where mine was factual and reasoned. 

I gaurentee if any any of us worked in any game store we'd see 360 and games doing much better relative to other systems than NPD has it. And I know you know full well that's the truth, just as you tell me I know "full well" what I believe.

The truth is this: ioi is doing is best to give us good numbers, but honestly he doesn't get PAID for it like NPD. Not only that NPD has a much larger amount of resellers that they get info from. VGCharts is fairly accurate, and it is nice that we get the efforts from ioi for free, but NPD is more accurate. The reason for that is simple because of reasources.

Walmart doesn't matter because honestly if you don't belive that Wii is selling at least as much as xbox360 at Walmart I think you are a little bit strange.

They can't like or dislike companies... It's business. NPD is the most accurate source and that's the fact. It's not the first time when X360 numbers are too high - it's not a big deal. It's not a professional tracking firm (last month was very accurate though). Everything will be adjusted. That's the way it works.

i never understand why conspiracy theories run rampant in american society.  i just don't understand it... i can understand when i was a freshman and we used to chat about all this stuff but somewhere around junior or senior year you start to form a more complete picture, getting an idea of what's likely and what's unlikely.  

anyhow.  i guess the saying "people believe what they want to believe" goes a long way.  of course anything's possible--and therein lies the lure.

If NPD lied about sales numbers, there's a simple word for it.

Slander.

If MS really fully knew NPD was lying, they could easily initiate a multimillion dollar lawsuit against a professional company trying to defame and destroy Microsoft's Xbox 360 due to poor sales. This case would be easily proved by Microsoft, and they'd be awarded millions of dollars in damages (making the X360 profitable!).

Of course, your just trying to be a stupid X360 sales fanboy or somthing. Grow up. The 360 is having bad sales because it's a 19 month old system that hasn't had a price drop. If MS is happy with poor sales, let them be - its their fault, and only their fault for the failure of sales of their system. Not NPD bias.

There is a good shot that the PS3 sells better (worldwide) at this point in its life that the 360 is now.

How is that possible, considering it's selling less in all territories?
